[cite]Posted By: deanovski[/cite]lol love how you say we will get relegated, antonio will never play for us and what was that youll steam roll us?
lol youre goal yesterday shouldve been disallowed.
you lot are so funny, alan pardews red army !northwich victoria!
hopefully we will take your only good player racon from you in january.
It's not that long ago Southampton was close to going out of existence. Or at least their fans seemed worried about it. I felt very sorry for them back then.
Now, I'm beginning to regret that sympathy, while their fans brag about raiding all other clubs of talent.
[cite]Posted By: Alan Pardew[/cite]"It's very important for us because it now gives us a target of mid-table, we've probably been as good as anyone in the table with the exception of Leeds, so now is a time to build and keep strong."
Anyone else concerned that Southampton and Pardoo are going to give us the biggest kick in the b*llox ever? Either by pipping us to the auto spot (can't really see them getting that high up to be honest)or more worryingly beating us at Wembley.
they have a very long way to go.... maybe their players have bought into the shallow razzmatazz that is pardew(thank god that muppet has left and will never return to our magnificent club)
they have been nothing like as good as 4 or 5 teams this year.....
I really despise that Pards guy..... we treated Curbs so badly when he returned by championing Pardew in front of his face.... almost feel their is a bit of karma there....
I think they'll be good enough to just make the play offs but there's no way they'll make up 20 points on us. Plus their good recent run has been against lesser sides in the division. I know you can only beat what's put in front of you but it's the next few weeks that will show us how good they really are. Their next 5 games are:
Leeds A
Exeter H
Colchester A
Huddersfield H
Millwall A

As much as I hate Pards, I would be happy for Saints to take maximum points off all of those except Exeter
[cite]Posted By: pilchard[/cite]Leeds made the play-offs despite a 15 point deduction. As much as it galls me to say it I think Southampton are more than capapble of doing the same.
By this stage in that season, Leeds had more points than they currently do (if you add the 15 back on). By comparison, if you ignore the 10 point deduction, Southampton would be 6th. They have a tasty run of fixtures coming up. I doubt anyone this season will go to Leeds, Colchester and Millwall and pick up more than 5 points, and plenty won't even pick up more than one or two. What happens if they pick up none, and draw at home against Huddersfield? How will Pardew handle the dip in form if it happens? Exeter aside, that's a rough patch of matches to have over the festive period.

True, but it will depend on how much "tinkering" Pardew does in the January window.
Don't forget in Pardew's first (only) full season with us we were doing fine until December and then the wheels fell off in spectacular fashion, largely because of his inability to pick and stick with a settled XI.
[quote][cite]Posted By: JT[/cite]22 points behind. How much has he spent anyone know?[/quote]
No but he has just brought in new players and slagged off his current squad, which should be for morale, similar to when we were in the championship, placed second.
I am worried if we meet them in the play offs -p but then today I am in pessimist mode
No chance of them catching us...what is most interesting is that they are 12 off the play offs and having played more games. If they were to lose/draw their next couple of games they will start to struggle to make the play offs which would be great.
[cite]Posted By: JT[/cite]Just signed Lee Barnard.
I seriously suspect that Pardc*nt is doing it deliberately - as soon as he knows we are interested in a player, he goes in for them. Same with Ricky Lambert and a couple of others, I think.
However, his inability to keep them all happy and deliver on the b*llshit he spun them when they signed will mean it will all start to unravel soon....

Saints 1-3 Brighton.
You're doing well though. You started the season 10 points behind us and now you're 20 !
How'd you work that one out Al?
Yes they are looking strong

they wont be able to make it ....
