I posted on 606 this is like the Premiership promotion season when we won 12 on the spin and played bottom of the table Swindon, for whom we had a collection so they could send a youth team to a toiurnament. For the game, I was invited into hospitality by Wyb Grant. We had ever reliable Deano in goal. A win would have been a record sequence of wins. Of course, the inevitable happened, bottom of the table Swindon left with all 3 points after an innocuous cross was turned into his own net by Deano.. Thats what I feel about next week it is after all the Charlton way
[cite]Posted By: Oggy Red[/cite]Pardew's main party trick ...... taking good players and making them sub-average performers
Only at Charlton, nowhere else.
To be fair to pardew, if he can't get any sort of performances out of javier mascherano and carlos tevez why should we expect him to do it with league one players? ;-)

Mascherano did well enough to sercure a loan move to Liverpool.
I couldnt help but laugh last night when the leagues came up that Pardew is so shit that he took over a club 10 points from safety after playing no games, and now after 6 they are offically worse off than when he started being 11 points from safety
1 win in 10 will this be 4 wins in 40? I doubt that but he is not any closer to the teams fighting directly above the drop zone.
Cant see him being there much longer.

Not exactly had much of an impact has he? But of course, it's not his fault, the team ws in decline, difficult to get new players to fit in quickly, we always play other teams at the wrong time, etc etc etc yawwwnnnnn
Almost a quarter of the way through the season and they're on -1. If for example you need 50 points to be safe they already need to win half of their remaining games. Going to be tough although they should be ok as there are some truly awful sides in this division and they'll spend well in January.
[cite]Posted By: Kap10[/cite]If I could be bothered, which I can't,i'd work out his record since the begining of last season, adding us to saints record - can't be nice reading
I can't see them staying up. Although they were the best opposition we've faced at home, they're in such a dire situation that even if they win 4 games in a row they'll probably still be in the relegation zone due to other teams at the bottom picking up a couple of points in those 4 games. And can anyone honestly see them winning 4 in a row given their current form and the man in charge?
I think they'll stay up - they have the finance to buy in a few players in January if they are still in trouble, I doubt that any of the other teams at the bottom of League One and will have anywhere near the same resources.

If you think that we could be jinxed, maybe best if you don't go to The Valley next week ..... ?

Anyway, it was you who said I was tempting fate!! :-)

Bet that aint your fault either Pardont eh
Superhero
Fight
Down with the Fulham
Pardew did so well with one of the world's best holding midfielders, that they let him go out on loan hey? Maybe i've misjudged the man.
Even Pardew would struggle to argue he did well with tevez and mascherano.
Then refused post match to give an interview in protest at the ref!
Love it!
Just 27 points behind Leeds, 24 behind us, 16 off the play offs and 10 away from safety.
What spin you gonna put on that Pards?
Cant see him being there much longer.
2 year plan

i'm sad so i have
won 5 drawn 10 lost 13
28 games 25 points
What a surprise. It's not going well. Solution = sign more players.
