Looks like a tricky, fast winger...

Give it two weeks before someone says "no end product."
No need, someone already said it

    Very excited by Dixon.

Got more minutes off the bench at Copa America than Karoy did - he got a full 45 minutes against Venezuela and was arguably Jamaica’s most dangerous player during that half.

Does anyone know or heard anything about this Begovic rumour?
    Another day, same 'joke'.
Another day pages of repetitive posts, all repeating what others have already said, with almost next to no substance or foundation.
If you don’t like repetitive posts, then why do you keep making the same repetitive “joke” and posts. Do what I do Ignore them.

    Oh bugger.
I’m simply responding to @talal and his comment about my repetitive posts, this whole thread is repetitive, don’t see him complaining about that?
    Can you repeat that please?

Interesting that we're signing a winger despite playing a wingerless formation, either we think we can turn him into a wingback or perhaps he is being viewed as one for the U21 side for now

    Thought Nathan didn’t like wingers.?

We are converting him to a goalkeeper.

Begovic is interest is correct, but not close from what I have been told. One of the keepers needs to go first, they don't want to be left with an inflated GK department. As I have been told, no offer has been made, but was given a tour.
    William Fatty Foulke Nowoci
Believe it or not this is William (Fatty)Foulke
    played for Chelsea between 1905/1907
also played nearly 300 games for Sheffield United weighing in at 24stone.

Desperately trying to figure out a chant to the tune of Rock The Casbah beginning with the line "Kaheim don't like it" but can't think of anything other than "hit the crossbar" which is not exactly what we want our forwards to be doing
But that would make sense, as in:

    Kaheim don't like it
    Hit the crossbar
    Hit the crossbar

In other words, he doesn't like it when he's hit the crossbar for the 15th time this coming season, without notching a goal.

    You could have:

    Kaheim don't like it
    The prices in Crossbars
    The prices in Crossbars
    Kaheim he likes it
    In off the crossbar
    in off the crossbar

Presumably Dixon is seen as following the Campbell mold and would be used in a more free roaming role behind strikers rather than as a winger per se. Rak-Sakyi was very effective in a similar position IIRC.

Cawley’s written an article and posted a few tweets. Depends on whether he gets a work permit and he’ll be joining our first team if it goes through.

As much as that. I'll probably be saying it after the Pompey match next week.

According to some on here that's closer than having a shot saved by the goalkeeper  🤷‍♂️.

Some of the time on here you just have to sit back and say to yourself, "this is what it must of been like the day Lennon and McCartney met!"

Dixon is an intriguing one. Reports suggest he’s very highly rated and we’ve done well to get close. Apart from the video clips I of course know nothing about him but he looks, and I hate the term “raw”. I could be very wrong but I think the biggest problem for Jones with Dixon could be game discipline. Seems like a Jones prerequisite, so this one will be interesting to watch unfold. On the other hand the kid could launch like a rocket.

As I've posted above, his closing down will create numerous goal chances and offset NJs desire to play to a pattern.  Miles who?

I am sure NJ said that he likes to develop young players.

Campbell has played as a free running second striker in preseason.  Could that be what NJ Could utilise Dixon as or with the addition of him we could change to 442 or 433 if required.

Subject to work permit is a worry.
Not really, the rules changed last summer so L1 clubs can sign two players who fail to meet the requirements.

I don’t think we have any others at the moment?

    https://www.reuters.com/sports/soccer/new-rules-allow-english-clubs-sign-players-who-do-not-meet-work-permit-2023-06-14/

June 14 (Reuters) - English clubs will be able to sign a specified number of players who do not meet the points requirements for work permits after the interior ministry approved new criteria for international player visas, the Football Association said on Wednesday.

The new Governing Body Endorsement (GBE) Criteria, effective from the opening of the transfer window on June 14th, will allow Premier League and Championship teams to sign up to four such players. League One and League Two teams will be able to sign two.
