Charlton Summer Transfer Rumours 2024

Both Isted and AMB have a two major flaws in their game, neither talks to the back four and both do not command their area, they are both good shot stoppers but their is more to being a goal keeper than just that.cfgs said:
A lot of his keeping last season was decidedly number two.RonnieMoore said:
Isted is an excellent keeper to good to be a number two ..Showmetheway2gohome said:Do we need new goalie Ronnie Moore you said Isted was a fantastic goalkeeper when we signed him last year.3 -
He also looked mistake prone, I thought the same.Showmetheway2gohome said:Not sure if I’m mixing this Bradley up with someone else at Derby but when we played them one of the CB looked as slow as a cart horse I thought it was Bradley and if it was I would not want him.looked shocking.
Could have had a bad game though.0 -
No the very same centre half, I too am not sure with this sites obsession with him is, I guess the fact he was good at Luton a few years ago and is vocal but we do can do far betterShowmetheway2gohome said:Not sure if I’m mixing this Bradley up with someone else at Derby but when we played them one of the CB looked as slow as a cart horse I thought it was Bradley and if it was I would not want him.looked shocking.0 -
In the absence of any real rumours and in the light of knowing we want two or three more. Who realistically and in what positions do we think. I have no names but I’m thinking GK, Centre Back and Attacking Midfielder.3

Those would be my guesses also. Possibly more if we lose someone unexpectedly to injury or a surprise offer but I'm not really expecting either.ShootersHillGuru said:In the absence of any real rumours and in the light of knowing we want two or three more. Most business now will probably be outbound.0 -
His name is Sonny Bradley which is a good Hardman Centre Back name. That plus the fact he played for Derby genuinely explains itYannTheMann said:

Still would like to see Fleetwood player of year Brendan Wiredu come back.
Surely he will move on this summer. Too good for L27 -

I roughly see it per below; so needed are a goalkeeper, CB & CM. Wouldn't mind if Ness was sold and another CB bought in too.
As for names, highly unlikely but Walton (GK), Bindon (CB) and Poveda (CM) would be amazing but all will play for higher clubs next season I am sure.NewMannionRamsey REG A Mitchell. New. SmallWatson. I think Edun becomes a midfielder and is the cover.
Coventry, Docherty, Taylor, Edun, Anderson and one more in
In the 10 it's Berry, Fraser and Campbell and we'll look to replace Fraser.
Centre back we have 6 already so I expect either Ness out permanently or Zach out on loan to accommodate another there.
Keeper we need to sell one to buy one too IMO.
I can't see incomings until we shift a couple of them out now12 -
Agree mostly but have a feeling Jones is looking at TC as a #9 rather than a #10, which the more I think about it makes sense. Quick feet and a decent finisher, think he could provide us a different option to what we have up there if we come up against someone in the old hardman CB role. I genuinely think we're only a few (quality) signings away from something that could do really wellsam3110 said:I think Edun becomes a midfielder and is the cover.

It's Coventry and ten others.
Need to build the team around our one true superstar.15 -

Would slot into that back 3 excellently. Can bring the ball out, decent passer, strong, Fleetwoods captain, age on his side at 24, and some unfinished business.
As you say, there is no way he should be playing in league2, it will only slow down his career when he has the potential to play in the championship at least.12 -
Have a friend of friend is an ex-Luton player so close with Nathan Jones and ex-Luton players, caught up with them today and said that Dan Potts was a done deal to us, that we had also been interested in Harry Cornick but he didn’t want to leave Bristol City. Unsurprisingly Isted has also been told he’ll only be 3rd choice so very keen to move on and hoping Barnsley come in for him.36

These types of rumours are always the best onesCaptainJack said:Have a friend of friend is an ex-Luton player so close with Nathan Jones and ex-Luton players, caught up with them today and said that Dan Potts was a done deal to us, that we had also been interested in Harry Cornick but he didn’t want to leave Bristol City. Another left back isn't what we need with Small, Edwards and Edun already at the club3

If he does that’ll be a lot of the sheen taken off the recruitment done to date. If we’re serious about mounting a challenge next season it would need to be a very large offer or just keep him in the hope he can get us up before he leaves for free.charente addick said:

I can’t believe Devante Cole is still a free agent and that we don’t really go after him1
-
He hasn't played left back for years as far as I know. Can play on the left of a 3 and is actually good in the air. However I'm sure Cawley said we're not interested in him (though things change)sam3110 said:Another left back isn't what we need with Small, Edwards and Edun already at the club4 -
He’s played LCB in a back 3 quite a bit. Personally don’t think it will happen thoughsam3110 said:0 -
We’ve got five first team strikers, we don’t need six. The budget would be much better spent elsewhere. I only see that changing if someone leaves or Leaburn’s going to be out longer than expected.Danny_Jenner said:I can’t believe Devante Cole is still a free agent and that we don’t really go after him1 -

Correct. Barnsley friend confirmed how poor he was during run in. Missed couple of sitters at ours too.Garrymanilow said:
