Totally agree. I thought we had learned the lesson of leaving our business until the last minute. Other clubs, Plymouth, Bolton, Barnsley etc seem to be able to sign players, why not us? Beginning to think we have been sold a pup.MuttleyCAFC said:I appreciate what Holden says but the longer it goes on without us signing the more worried I will get. Especially when the sales are happening such as JFC.
When you have less money (like we did in the summer and probably still do now) or when it’s January and you are lower mid-table - we have to wait as players will see if teams with more money or higher league position want to sign them. That’s why those clubs are confirming signings already and we haven’t. We are lower down the transfer food chain than them1 -
Who has been sold what? What have we been sold? What fantasy have you imagined? Or is it a fact the rest of us don't know?DICKIE PLUMB said:

Seems like all the clubs doing business in our league are fighting for promotion. Far easier convincing players to come to your club if you have something positive to offer going into the final months of the season.
And let’s be real, how many players are going to come to us when we’re doing poorly, when no one knows what’s happening, and the manager is only here until the end of the season. Bit of a job selling that to someone with quality, even with Andy Scott and Gallen’s negotiating skills.31 -
Exactly. Any decent player will be holding out for better offers than us so we will probably have to wait. I’d rather wait for a good player than sign a shit one nowSage said:Seems like all the clubs doing business in our league are fighting for promotion. 51 new comments. A new signing rumour? Nope, just people arguing a player who they definitely hadn't heard of before he signed and has played 8% of available minutes this season is rubbish. Some of you need therapy more than you need a transfer rumours thread

Yeh, but it is nice to have all the fruit loops in one place where you can keep an eye on us GM.Garrymanilow said:51 new comments. A new signing rumour? I would imagine that watching our players is a major part of his job.J BLOCK said:
The point is, it was said he was always out scouting when actually he is almost always present at Charlton games.RonnieMoore said:
Gallen was not a few games back he was watching a playerJ BLOCK said:
This is such a great shout, never put 2+2 together. Gallen has used up his credits, can go with Martin and TS.Cafc43v3r said:
Funny that Gallen and Martin, who according to Thomas are always out scouting, are at every single one of our games...SELR_addicks said:Our scouts working wonders again.
Are they allowed to go out and watch other teams play? Or are they stuck watching archive footage from our own games?

Martin Sandgaard ? Edit .......... beaten to it, by about a dayMuttleyCAFC said:I think our midfield three, if we play a three is Dobson, Fraser and Payne and we need another player in there to pick from. Dobson earns a place despite not scoring many so the other two need to be able to score and create and I see Fraser and Payne as the only two that come close to fitting that bill who we currently have and who is ready. I would prefer a player with a great shot as this is an area we are a bit lacking in IMO.

Obviously not proving to be an easy window. I thought the aim was to bring a couple in early?5
-
I suppose it is technically still early. Just the latter part of early.3
-
It’s 6th January… it’s still very early1
-
Maybe they all mean early compared to recent panic laden windows, so I think our first signing might be about the 22nd.0
