Comments like this always make me laugh. It's not as if Maddison would be living in a tiny terraced house if he goes there. Bloke could probably buy a 4-5 bedroom house in the countryside for the price of a 2 bed down here.Rossman92 said:

Birmingham bids pretty much the same as ours
Another mid-table Championship team about to sell two players, with that money they're likely to buy him tomorrow9 -
Greenie Junior said:Really don’t get why we’re not going all out for Maddison at this point. He’s exactly what we needI think the main hangup for anyone coming here is the fact that we are in a relegation fight. Maddison is much safer on that front playing for Hull, where it looks like he is going. It's why we lost Connor too, and I suspect it's why many other players are suspicious of coming here. Why come here from a lower league only to possibly go back down?
If the transfer window was when we were top 10, I think MM (and others) would be clamoring to come here. But this is now. Players from other teams see no difference between Roland and ESI...it's all about table position and the run of form. It's like getting a loan from a bank... when you need money, no one wants to lend it. When you don't need it, loan offers keep showing up in your mail box.
Loanees from clubs above us might be the ONLY option because the players we get as loans are not committed if we falter. These players we are aiming to bring-in are NOT loyal to us, but to themselves. They are not Addicks, they are free agents, trying to get the best deal for themselves. What we desire, as fans, is meaningless to them. Another reason I hate this transfer window. It seems to attract the wrong kind of player at the wrong price.

I’d love to know that £50m had been exchanged for our club , any sort of real big money then I’d know ESI are the real deal and have access to genuinely large sums of money .charltonbob said:
But they haven't, nobody seems to be aware what if anything they have paid. The Belgian said months back he would give the football club away for nothing & would sell the Freehold on the Valley & SL. ESI haven't bought the Freehold yetfloydroadfaithfull said:The one bit I dont understand is the fact they have paid 50 million ish for the club so surely want to protect that investment yet are stalling over bringing in a few extra bodies mainly from lower leagues so surely we are offering them a better deal than they are currently on? I dont understand why we cant get any over the line also in the past we've done some cracking business in the loan market? Or maybee January is that much harder to get deals done or all the agents are being greedy bumping the prices up because they think we have money?
Just hope we can get a couple of deals done as it took us a long time to get us where we are now
Back to league 1 seems a grim possibility
But will kept the faith still 40 hours to go
TN is a portfolio manager for rich people , that does not automatically make him laden with the sort of cash that would be needed to acquire and run a football club .
Everything seems to be running along the same sort of lines as Rolands skint flint operation .
A small sign of potential intent would be Lyle staying and reasonable money being spent .
Lyle going wouldn’t be a good sign to me .
So far it’s all talk, let’s hope the walking starts soon and then the “expect the worse” crew amongst us, myself included, can start to breath a huge sigh of relief .
As I said before anyone but Roland and I’ll be 100% happy once we are 100% free of the old scrote .5 -
Clarke-Harris looks a great investment for 1 million at 25 years old. Left-footer, very strong, scores inside and outside the box. And judging by the Guardian article is a top bloke.
I'd be happy with Greg Docherty, though don't know a lot about him, seems to have potential going by Ranger's fans comments.
If we get these over the line tomorrow I'd think that's a good start going into deadline day.
But Lyle must stay. ESI can't sell our star striker when we're in a relegation battle.11 -

I'm going to predict at least 3 new arrivals, Taylor to stay, everyone will wonder what they spent the last week panicking about, and Perry_87 (or whatever he's called) will write an open apology to Nimer on instagram.3

Determines your ability? I think you mean proves. But I disagree entirely. Or else nobody would ever sign players from the lower leagues and Jamie Vardy would be playing for The Nags Head.9

Liverpool must have been crazy to sign Gomez. He had only played at Championship level. Clearly out of his depth in the Premiership or European level!ElfsborgAddick said:

Just under 40 hours remaining before we find out whether or not ESI are prepared to commit footballing suicide by selling our best chance to avoid relegation. My season ticket for 2020-2021 is dependent on that decision.
If Taylor goes, our relegation rivals won't be able to believe their luck.8 -
It's quite possible that Bowyer was told by TwoShits he could have Toney and Taylor but TwoShits was telling porkies and Taylor would have been sold against Bowyer's wishes once Toney had arrived. I don't know, however, how Cawley would have known TwoShit's intentions, perhaps he just surmised.ross1 said:

Because Cawley revealed our bid for Toney was as a replacement for Lyle....SoundAsa£ said:

It was Bowyer who said that not RD.CAFCDB said:
Cawley has already said our Toney bid was as a replacement for Taylor so it was massive BS from Rolandgolfaddick said:My view on the JCH bid is that he is a replacement for Lyle. Brentford have probably come back in for him, esp after losing last night & that's why we have put in a (late) bid for him.
I know RD supposedly said our bid for Toney last August was not a replacement for Taylor, but I dont buy that bullshit.....esp when it was with RD in charge.
At least we are looking at buying decent in form & experienced strikers (Toney, Gnadduillet & JCH) rather than very young loanees from Spurs, Watford or Norwich.1 -

If we sign the bristol rovers guy, the transfer fee matches millwalls record signing.
my points
1. lets laugh at millwall
2. Millwall are better than us at the moment (kind of cancels out point 1) by signing the right player for the right price. It does t matter what division the player currently plays in as long as they are good enough. Millwalls record signing was from Walsall?1 -
Year we signed Bradley Wright-Phillips and then the following when we brought in Danny Haynes and Leon Cort are the sole two January Windows which have been goodrobroy said:Have we ever had a good January window? I honestly can’t remember one.Players lost

Last January was ok. We lost Grant but Williams and Purrington arrived. Short term deals but both are still here.Losing Gallagher and Taylor would make this one 10 times worse.1

Yep, Cottingham is only ~4 miles outside of Hull, Beverley around 10 miles. Rossman, worth you spending a weekend up that and getting to know the area!killerandflash said:
