Been told potentially 3 in this week, not been given names etc, all very hush hush. Expect the 2 mentioned already to be 2 of the 3 for obvious reasons
    Berry, Edwards… and Mannion?

Leonard available for a fee in the region of 300k. Wrexham linked. We should be all over this.

He had a couple of sherbets by then so could have been a random guy talking bollocks, but there we go

We've may have an advantage with Leonard as Jones is very well thought of at Brighton.
Not sure they'll care if it's a perm rather than a loan

Sonny Bradley one of our top targets for CB but Derby not keen to let him go yet.
More chance of getting Sonny Liston.

Around 300k is nothing to Brighton, they will want him to go where's best for his development.

Especially if a sizeable sell on percentage is agreed - they will still very much have a vested interest in his development!

The sell on is a very good point

I'd expect Leonard to have a very sizable sell on if sold. Brighton just have too many CMs for him to break through.

I think it’ll come down to where Leonard can picture both Charlton or Wrexham in two years time or perhaps more to the point which clubs manager can sell the product better.

Not sure Leonard is a Nathon Jones sort of player, very technical but not very athletic. I doubt he's one we're looking at but who knows.

Led to believe that Berry is done and Edwards is close. We are also in talks with another central midfielder.
Any clues on who the other Central midfielder is ?

They'll be more interested in the % of the sell on fee

Don't know much about him but Wiki says he played 45 and 46 games respectively over the last two season so no issues about missing a lot of games.

Are we likely to actually announce any this week?

Depends on lots of things probably - like player availability for the photos etc, do we do multiple single announcements or go for a double/triple announcement, etc etc.

Lots of pretty reliable sources making the same noises leads me think we might hear something end of this week or maybe next but that's just a guess.

now dont shout at this question lol. I dont really know any of the names being mentioned as our likely targets but do people feel if we manage to sign them are they a step up ? after all most thought that Fraser & Kirk were the bollox when they came ! I just hate the thought of more false dawns

Would put my hat on our first announcement being the earliest for 10 years then.
Going back an additional five years…

    2014: 24th June (Igor Vetokele)
    2013: 3rd June (Mark Gower)
2012: 9th July (Lawrie Wilson & Jordan Cook)
2011: 25th May (Danny Hollands & Bradley Pritchard)
    2010: 5th July (Gary Doherty)

(Not including players who didn’t appear for the first team that season eg Kurtis Cumberbatch signed in May 2014.)
