Still say Isted and AMB will be here next season, nothing around to make me think otherwise...🤷‍♂️

We have had interest from a few clubs for Isted, my bet is on him going back to Barnsley.

Thing is, we need cover before that, and there is nothing around giving anything likely, so we could be forced into an unwanted scenario...

Looks sensible to me but hope Ness leaves on loan, as I think he still has a lot of potential.

If we could bring in Devante Cole would be perfect.

Looking at the squad written down on paper, starting to feel like we need a lot more if we want to compete at the top end of this league one.

Hopefully we are a side where the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts. Currently I am a little concerned about how we plan to open teams up, but let's see how Nathan's master plan unfolds

That might genuinely be where a loan is actually the better option, bring someone in who is not going to expect/be expected to play particularly frequently but will probably get games here or there, or more likely parts of games.

Unless Mbick or Casey are seem as ready to step up but I expect them to be out on loan and/or cup regulars instead of 1st team options this year.

Campbell has been tried in that position. Unless we change systems back to 3 up front, I imagine that if he plays it'll be as a central striker who drifts wide, rather than a pure winger.

there are a number of good keepers without clubs at present and better than Isted or AMB.

That’s why we will give Hylton short term contract .. Leaburn due back in September .. Aneke will be used as impact sub he never looks the same player when he starts ..

I think provided that the 3 suggested NEW are of high quality then it looks a good squad to me.

I don't disagree but as said above, if the 3-4 new players were of the quality of previous L1 players for us like Cullen, Bielik, Aribo and Taylor then it's a different story.  Really need these last pieces to be top, top quality.

    New keeper
    Ramsey
    A Mitchell
    Jones
    New CB
    Small
    Berry
    Doherty
    New CM
    Godden
    Gas /Leaburn

Looks pretty good if those new ones are a genuine step up.  It's where I think loans work. But not when you are scrapping around for them.

    He's useless.

Think useless is slightly harsh, 18 goals and 3 assist in 46 appearances last season. Barnsley went on a really poor run and he had a bit of a drought to go with it, but he's a bit different than what we have.

    I'd say he's a decent league 1 striker, worth a go on a free.

Celtic's new keeper signing Viljami Sinisalo was a target for #cafc.

Exeter City GK coach Kevin Miller, who worked with the Finnish international last season, has revealed the Addicks' interest in the 22-year-old.

Sounds good, all the positions and departures we’ve been expecting.

Any idea if the CB will ideally be left footed (or at least comfortable on that side? And what type of midfielder do you think will come in? There’s a good argument for a solid holding midfielder or a more creative attacking one.

Brilliant, so that's now Ruddy, Davies & Sinisalo who would rather sit on the bench than be a #1 for us?

Think he's got a chance of being #1 at Celtic given their other keeper signing was Kasper Schmeichel

Goalkeepers are different. They spend their careers knowing that their opportunities to play are going to be so limited. Most of the time there will be 20-24 goalkeepers playing across a season and if you're not one of them you might get in off an injury or a loss of form but there's a real chance the number 1 will play 46 games in the league and you'll just sit there every year. Their mindsets are often focused on getting the most they can out of their careers in terms of money and I don't blame them; Ruddy and Davies are coming to the end and Sinisalo will be thinking he'll either get in ahead of Schmeichel or take over from him next season given he's 37. All these teams will pay more than us, I don't think first team football is a pull for a lot of keepers like it is for outfield players

He was outstanding for Exeter last season so at least shows we are looking for a very decent keeper to come in.

That's a shame, he was decent. Didn't think that's the type of keeper we would be in for.

Apparently they've paid over 1 million for him, not sure how true that is.

It's nice that we are competing with Celtic for signings though I suppose.

You can’t go up without a proper goalkeeper - Jones is long in the tooth enough to know that
