Those who know they are only here for a payday likely won’t change but any with ‘career’ aspirations may just try and impress and tow the line if the suggestions of poor discipline / attitude are true.
I know for a fact he is delighted to be back at the club! I honestly think he is the right man for the job! We all need to get behind him! Work starts tomorrow! Some of those shithouses are going to get a ride awakening in training!
Nathan Jones’s priorities: 1. To avoid relegation to L2 2. To keep us in L1 this season 3. To prevent us from being relegated to L2 4. To keep us out of the bottom 4 in L1 5. Etc.
March looks rough with the away games but if Nathan can't get us to beat 3 of the bottom 4 clubs then we deserve to get relegated.
My concern is more will he stay with us if he can't perform a miracle and we get relegated? Plus and more importantly will the main money men in the States decide to bail out as well?
Because we're Charlton this could be a distinct possibility.
I really hope it doesn't get to that situation but this season as many lifers have said has been coming for over 10 years at least.
If we get relegated I think he would be on his way (sacked) or pay off clause written in to contract.

Now it's official, I am feeling overwhelmingly positive.
I am going to stick my neck out here, and say this is the best, and most exciting managerial appointment since Sir Alan Curbishley himself.
In my life time, the only managers who have brought me joy watching Charlton, have been Curbs, Powell and Bowyer. I am of the belief, that the timing was right with Powell and Bowyer, and that it was written in the stars our promotion seasons with them. Both arrived with no history of being successful managers before us, or shown any evidence they could achieve for us.
Jones on the other hand, comes with some real proof, that he could be the man to pull us out of the abyss, and make us a side you are proud to support again.
I said the last ex amount of managers were a bad fit for us, I am going the polar opposite this time, and I believe that the timing is right for both of us.
I am confident that this is THE man for THE job. A warm welcome back to Charlton Nathan Jones, my happiness and will to live depends on you mate.

You're quite right but it only took 7 days to build heaven and earth, we should be OK by next week! 😂
1) Get us safe. 2) A good, organised summer with the right recruitment. 3) A good start next season, momentum is important in football. 4) Make us competitive again, we need to be in and amongst it, there’s 4 teams better than the rest this season, our aim should be to be one of them. Even if we don’t get promoted, we need drastic improvement, something to build on and above all pride restored with something for the fans to get onboard with.
That’s all I want, I don’t think it’s too much to ask for Charlton in the third tier.
