  • Right. What can we expect of our new manager. ?

It certainly will not be Warnock, he has gone to Aberdeen, until end of season
Have the LMA ratified HIS contract today then 😃.
Remind me, which English league do Aberdeen play in?
  • Jones out!

Seriously a great appointment. Rowett and Moore would have also been great.
  • Sacked after next Saturday!;)
Yep, he's bound to be sacked after next Saturday...🙄

Keep up us up.  Assess what we need. Get it in place and gelled ahead of next season's campaign and be competing in the top 6 from August and for the rest of next season.

Instil mental strength in the squad if possible.
  • Yippee!
  • Any idea of contract length?

In terms of formations he’s often used a 4-4-2 diamond or 3-5-2, both of which this squad is most suited to with the recent signings and lack of wingers.

I would be surprised if Jones has not watched some videos of our games and still interested. Probably hoping that as we have practically changed the team it could be better
Also he might have thought “I wonder if this lot would perform differently if players were playing in their actual positions” and also if they would perform better if the bloke on the touchline took his hands out of his pockets and attempted to look like he gives a fuck !
Players playing in their actual positions .
That was one of Nathan’s problems at Southampton he didn’t do it.

Trust he has learnt from his mistakes.
  • IT’S OUTRAGEOUS … WHERE’S SCARFY?

    Standards are slipping

Excellent appointment, especially in our current predicament.

    Nathan Jones TO DO LIST:

    1. Keep us in League One this season.

    2. Establish a clear style of play that is a) successful and b) good to watch.

    b) is really not essential in our predicament.   After years of failure I would happily forgo attractive football for success.

Me too. In recruitment parlance a) was essential and b) desirable

    3. Get the defence and defensive midfielders working together cohesively.

    4. Get more creativity in the attacking third.

    5. Ensure that the gaps and imbalances in the squad are addressed in the summer.

    6. Get Dobbo to sign a new contract.

    7. Build a team that will at least get into the League One play offs next season.

Great, only alteration I would make is promoting No 6 to No 2...we need Dobson deal done...✅

B is not a requirement at all.

I'll take ugly football all the way it can take us.
