    CBT may be off
How accurate are they usually ?
It is a complete nonsense account, undoubtedly ran by some little dork.

All it does is copy other journalists tweets, adds the little thinking emoji and says 'X clubs fans, how do you feel about this?'

Can't stand that account, copy and paste tweets every single day.

I would honestly say there's a 0% chance Derby would fork out 600k for CBT and even if they did, we would find out from an actual credible source, not that account.

If my message comes across a bit animated, it's because of my burning hatred for those types of twitter accounts.
Unless I read quotes I take stuff like this with a pinch of salt.
I can say with confidence that account is full of it, probably have that tweet deleted by tomorrow.

Never seen that account get anything right other than something that's already been shared by someone else. Which I wouldn't mind but they don't even credit the journalist who shared the information. Pure poser account

I blocked that account in the summer. Just recycling news from elsewhere, or making it up, to bait responses.
  • It's obvious that we're after a certain profile of striker to fill a hole in the absence of Leaburn and Chuks so with that in mind...

On my lunch break, here's a list of 61 strikers playing in the top four divisions of England or Scottish Premiership that are 6ft or taller between ages 21 and 30 and I think might be interested in playing for CAFC either permanently or on loan. They are in height order (tallest first).

The majority of these won't be good enough which is why they're available, & I didn't check if they're currently injured or recently moved clubs in this window already but anyway... have fun!

    Sign all of them
    Basket ball anyone?
  • 400k is about right these days for that sort of player & potential in a January window.

Puts the bargain of 250k for May into context more than anything - Cheltenham should’ve held out for at least double that.
Yeah, maybe ..... but Alfie was on a promise ..... if he signed another contract, stayed all of the the next season, Cheltenham would let him go if an offer came in for him.

Cheltenham kept their word to Alfie.

Would like Humphrys.  Not bothered by Goodwin.
If phoning Reading, let's get Vickers he would easily fit L1 elite and will end up in the PL (prob straight away sadly )

I’m sure we will sign someone but prepare to be underwhelmed.
    Underwhelmed?

Like some people were when we signed the day we signed Yann Kermorgant?
    I didn't actually mention  @AFKABartram did I?   :o

We're in trouble regardless, but Alfie dries up on goals or gets injured then we could be seeing division four football next season.
Some of us might be seeing it.....others might be sunning themselves on Copacabana beach 😆.

Need to keep the dog happy.
He needs a bowl of water.
    She.

Methven’s podcast out today, talks about the January window.

Worth a listen this, he mentions we put in a significant bid for Nelson abbey . Atleast we’re going for the right players even if we’ve only got a couple over the line so far .
He also mentions phoning reading about other players and other teams knowing we’re desperate for a number 9.
Not listened to the podcast but is Methvan saying he personally rang Reading or that the club did?

Don’t think we are , Aneke back in a couple of weeks and why sign a young unknown striker when we have Kanu … give him a run with May till Aneke comes back
Ah yes, because that has worked so well for the last 2 months

It’s only good if we can replace him, if we don’t get a replacement we’re in even bigger trouble.
    This.

If you dont believe it just look at our right hand side. JRS was outstanding last year & kept us out of danger. He went back to Palace & we haven't replaced him. Upshot is.......we regularly play our top goalscorer out there. Or Leaburn (now injured) or Tedic.(hone back). Because of this we are now playing an out of form Campbell.

Read & learn from previous mistakes.

  • Still a chance with Goodwin maybe? Not on Oxford’s official site as yet.

This shows why all the talk on here of binning off JCH was wrong.

If some people had had their way the club would have told JCH and his agent to feck off and we would have burnt another bridge.

It still might not happen, probably won't, but we still gave that option.

    He's basically binned us off already...but let's see eh...🤷‍♂️

    Has he?

What has he said or done to suggest that?

All this talk of Ladapo being the next Messiah and yet the Ipswich fans are offering to drive him over.
They seem to rate him like we did Kirk
I’m not a font of knowledge on players, but could anyone explain why our fans seem so desperate to get him.
it was the same in August
I've not seen anyone say Ladapo is the next messiah.
Why do people have to exaggerate?
Perhaps messiah is a little strong but I’m just wondering what people know about him and why they think he’s the one we should be going for.

Cheers mate I’ve been looking for a list of our centre midfielders.
Most are out injured as well, our treatment room must be like downtown Gaza, Daniel Udoh is out with a bollock strain, Admiral Butterworth went down with his ship!
