To be fair Parker was actually pretty decent at Wembley. If that flick between the legs had gone in it would’ve been a special goal.
Also won us the free kick (which he probably had no right to win) in the 94th minute that we played from and scored from.
He definitely wasn’t prolific but he certainly tried and did help the team, which is what we needed.
My vetokele comment above was a joke. Veteokele had just hit form when he got injured and I was nervous that Parker had to play potentially 3 play off games. He did well and deserves credit.
im still convinced that if he had given him a 2 year deal, he still wouldnt have scored
Other than one goal in the Checkatrade last season, Parker failed to score at both Charlton and Wycombe...
Parker was shit, bogle is 100% a better player all round, we were spoilt with grant and Taylor and that is why the bar is so high, imo
Yeh but some fans think Bogle was shit DAZ so Parker must have been shitier than shit 😲.
Think I saw this mentioned on here, Terry Taylor is going to Burton according to Football Insider. Think it was mentioned we may have been the unnamed club.

It was a 2+2 = 5 moment and I put up a link to his wiki page but thanks for posting 👍.
I can understand people saying bogle is not up to it and not good enough but what I can’t understand is how people think Aneke is a world beater.
His the most inconsistent player I’ve ever seen I think. Did he even touch the ball last night The last 2 games his come on as sub I don’t think his managed to get anywhere near most of our long balls out of deference. You need to a least challenge the defender. Bogle still done this and was when he got dragged of early. But twice now Aneke has done it and nothing is said.
How people think his good enough to play in championship is beyond me.
the best minutes per goal ratio in the entire league one.
I think simms might be beating him now
Who was the poster on here who suggested we go for Simms, think he even said he suggested him to Gallen.
Simms comes on for his league debut and scores twice in 20 minutes.
@Sage. Certainly a great start although early days, I think I could have come on and scored against Wigan last night.
Fair play to him, give that man a scouting job.
Feel free to email Gallen, any and all references help. Much appreciated

@Sage can I ask if you have a role in football or are you just an avid follower of footy?
aneke is big, strong and mobile. Bogle is big strong and immobile.
anekes being mobile allows him to run at defenders which scares them. Not only does him running at goal create chances for himself, but also others. Schwartz v rochdale springs to mind. Snake running at defenders caused a hack last nigh. He also came back to help the defenders last night abs was carrying the ball forward when the whistle went.
bigle plays more back to goal which means the ball goes back rather than forward. The problem is that the ball often goes back to a different colour shirt. Bogle creates very few chances for himself or others in comparison to Aneke.
Bogle has only scored 20% of the goals that Aneke has. I’m not sure of the minutes played by both but I would it is relatively even.
Aneke looks like he will create or score most times he is on the pitch. Bogle doesn’t.
when bogle leaves, I will not lose sleep. He is another kandol, sodje and abbot. People defend him because he is a Charlton player and I get that, he just isn’t a very good Charlton player.
Neither Bogle nor Aneke are naturally target men like say a Stockley. Despite their physical appearance. Chuks is a better target man than Bogle but that's still not his best position. They would both look better playing with Stockley. In fact there is no reason at all why you couldn't play all 3 together.
Good point. Curbishley said as much in the post match interview.
I don’t think Curbishley suggested playing all three in a match, although he did suggest playing both Stockley and Chucks up front together Saturday if the Portsmouth players were as big as what was being said.
I think that could be a good idea if Chucks can do the 90minutes as are games after are Saturdays (no midweeks).
Expect Pearce to come back in as well.
Two of Aneke , Stockley, or Bogle was what he said as in two of the big lads together.

Avid follower of football. Someone asks me what are my interests, I generally struggle to say anything much beyond football. Sad really. I have others like injuries, anatomy, psychology etc, as well as my music, but otherwise it’s just football.
Currently work for CACT doing a whole range of things all the time. But continuously looking to get in the professional game. I won’t hide that fact. Yes, I have some contacts but they’re not anything major. Overall, just love football.

Tbh mate, I thought you were already in the game so I’m sure you’ll get there soon. You always come across very well when discussing things. Not sad at all. It’s great that you have something that you are really passionate about and hopefully you’ll get that break soon. Whatever the case, myself and many others enjoy your posts and thanks for answering a question I’ve wondered about for a while.👍

With it being Thursday, and near the end of transfer window, you’d assume we would get a nice bit of news coming today. Press day, day before SLP goes out as well. Fingers crossed.
I’ve emailed @SteveGallen about a young lad called Haaland, a striker, need to get in quick before anyone else spots him ...
Good work Large. I’ve also emailed him and suggested Simon Church. If he listens to us, not only will we have a top partnership, but Haaland will be twice the player his is if he is learning off Churchinio.

@Sage do you know anything about Anthony Gordon at Everton?
I can bbc sport are saying he’s going to Blackburn of Preston?
"LancsLive understands the links with Rovers to be wide of the mark, while PNE are looking at several players as they look to make more signings before Monday's deadline."
It was a name I was given this morning but had no idea who he is. A quick Google says he is probably out of our league but it could have a knock on effect for someone else.

Dread to think where we would be without Chucks goals this season, despite him being injury-prone, in the league his scoring at a rate of 1 every 99 minutes, don't think anyone thinks he's a world-beater, we are L1 lol, but to single out Chucks is wrong
But he has got issues he can’t play 90 minutes and is inconsistent.he will control the ball one minute instantly the next 5 balls to him he can’t.
By the way we play in league one not championship. like I say why all the praise for him l don’t get it.
Sorry his not all that league one is his level unless he becomes more consistent missed 2 sitters against Swindon if bogle had missed them he would have been slatted.
Having the best minute to goal ratio suggests he could play a higher level. If he could play 90 mins he wouldn't be with us
I like Aneke but for me, you could see Stockley is a cut above Chuks, he will be a very handy addition for us!
I like the look of Stockley, but still personally prefer Aneke, Stockley whilst having obvious strengths, which I hope we play to, looks as slow as my nan

Slightly surprising if they do loan him out. He's highly rated at Everton and has been a part of their matchday squads quite regularly. Now that Rodriguez is back and Sigurdsson has suddenly decided to become decent again he's struggled for game time recently but they have quite a small squad so I assumed they'd keep hold of him and play him in the Prem. Definitely several levels above us unfortunately, he wouldn't be out of place playing every week for someone like Burnley.
More like you're talking out your Harris, one of the best goals to game ratios in the league, hustles and harries defenders into making mistakes and is our top scorer despite only starting about 60% of our games. Without him we'd be mid table at best. If you think he's that shit I suggest you start watching something else, tiddlywinks perhaps

Apparently they will loan him out if they can't off load Bernard.
Interesting. They'll do well to loan out Bernard given that he's on a ridiculous amount of money. Having said that, they've just loaned out Bolasie to Middlesbrough and I doubt Boro are paying his full £70,000 a week so maybe they're willing to take a bath on a lot of these wages
All I’ve done is pointed out his lack of consistency in controlling the ball and heading and the fact he can’t play 90 mins.
How come we can moan about bogle or Gilbey but not Aneke. It looks like you’ve already started on stockley his slow as my Nan. Aneke will score more goals than stockley should we send stockley back now going to be as bad as bogle if he don’t score ain’t. he.
All you are going on about is his goal ratio which for the chances his missed in last few games should be about 5 more goals.
Goals my Nans could have scored and there dead
I’ve compared him to our previous strikers in league one and even got back that he has a better goal ratio than kermagant.
Now if you think he is better than kermagant then I think you need to go and watch something else.
