The danger is Roddy is up to his neck in it as much as Atkins, so he's going to say what he needs to say to keep his job.
One of the reasons he was sacked from his Academy Director role at Reading was reported as 'issues about his communication with parents and the wider community.' No doubt his communication skills with TS won’t be lacking at present 😏.
I still think it's very important as to who introduced Thomas to Ged or vice versa and what was the initial concept or philosophy that was discussed for the football club Thomas was purchasing. As we know he was looking at a bunch of clubs. As it stands I asked this question through the CAST Q and A last week and I have also asked Thomas direct via his email. I have also asked other questions to which he does usually give an answer. But on this one thus far he has not responded. Maybe he's finally come to the conclusion that I'm a trouble maker:) Ged answered the question last week but never gave the name of who actually introduced them. Just rambled on about helping Thomas with the ODT test before being given the OK to proceed with the purchase of the club from Tahnoon/Panarama/Southall/Elliott. I'm beginning to think that the matchmaker in this along with Mumford could well be someone they do not wish to disclose. I love a good conspiracy....

I don't think your that far off the truth. I also think it's possible Mumford and Roddy sold Thomas plans that were, let's say, over ambitious and all 3 of them are finding out the hard way that it's not quite as easy as they thought or suggested it would be.
What we do know is that Southall and Co were leeches and would have driven this club into oblivion.
Naive to think it's ever totally altruistic reasons why anyone gets involved in football ownership or top administrating positions; even lower down the pyramid. Ego needs for Thomas and Ged for sure but that doesn't make either a bad person because without an ego you get trampled upon and why would you even try in such a results business where few teams are successful and the vast majority will fail at the end of the season.
Roddy was an ex pro and worked in Football administration. Nothing like the odious Walter Mitty character Matt Southall.
I prefer transparency so it's right that questions are asked about the line of command as Cafc don't appear to have it right at the moment with the pecking order and how it manifests on the field of play which will be the over riding emotional barometer.
Ged Roddy have been turned into a panto villain to rival Steve Evans and without spending a week shadowing him at Sparrows lane and in his relationship with Thomas Sandgaard ( phone or in person) and his relationship with coaching staff, Nads, players and all staff including the tea Lady(or man) i can only surmise.

As anybody who networks in any industry will attest such issues are by default confidential - could someone please explain the relevance of the initial link between TS and GR?
Interested in the industry based on the following CV why wouldn’t you talk to GR?

No one is saying Roddy is a bad person.
More that we don't see any evidence that he's been a positive appointment for the club. In the time he's been 'technical director' recruitment is far worse and the team is getting significantly worse.
Who advised TS to appoint Roddy? Who advised TS to appoint Adkins? Who suggested the players we brought in to TS. (apart from Gallen)? I feel sorry for TS that his dream, like ours is going down. He does not live in this country, only knows a little, if any, about lower leagues, so needs experience people to help him. I personally think it is these others that have let him and us down. I do not want to go back to our previous owners, so want it to work for TS and us before he loses interest and too much money

I don’t necessarily disagree but it wasn’t the question was it.
I am not sure what skillsets you anticipate he would use in the roles he has fulfilled over what nearly 30yrs.
It is an impressive CV within the Industry. He was with the PL for 8yrs. Have you read the EPPP? It is an impressive document. It is heralded within the PL. Does it apply to League 1 clubs? Can it work within a League 1 environment?
Perhaps we should ask Nigel Adkins. Perhaps we should ask Lee Bowyer.
Is there a glaring omission in terms of NAs specific EFL Senior management?
Is there a glaring omission in terms of GRs specific EFL Senior management?
Does SG have a glaring omission in terms of his specific EFL Senior management?
Does SA have a glaring omission in terms of his specific EFL Senior management?

Nothing in his CV suggests he has any track record in what he is actually doing.
If he was not involved in the first team affairs there would be no suggestion of anything.
How different is Ged Roddy role at Cafc to the role he had at Reading ?
Was he involved with the first team at Reading or just the youth/academy set up ?
Watching the CAST interview recently he did appear to be the first point of contract with Thomas. Ambitious football clubs who want to at least to get back to the Championship let alone Premier, can't be 23rd in League1 after 10 games, with players who should all be decent at League 1. ( A few are pass their sell by date, but Watson and Pearce weren't even supposed to be in the squad this season unless there was an emergency)
The buck has to stop with Nigel Adkins even though the transfer window by numbers was quite telling from Steve Gallen. We had 5 players on the list for every position we needed a player. It went from 1st choice to 5th choice. We know the St Johnson CB was 1st choice, but he went to Wigan from memory and I believe Lavelle was 2nd choice.
Wigan and Ipswich got their 1st choices by the look of it, other than Kirk who has not settled yet,( I know there are mitagating reasons) who I believe was a 1st choice and that's why he was given a 4 year deal.
Yes, Ged Roddy will be accountable after/ with Nigel Adkins. I wonder if Ged is trying to work out a deal with Adkins on behalf of TS so Nigel can walk( joke Sam ?) away early and without yet another depressive protest from a couple of hundred fans/critics which will just piss off Thomas and will just damage us yet again. ( Yes I did protest against Duchatelet and stopped getting a season ticket even though I hardly missed a home match)
We started the five year plan journey but unfortunately used Dale Stephens' Satnav!

Hopefully the Kids coaches didn’t get that memo
Thanks
Even Adkins start was decent.
I don't know really what he does, but I doubt he's half as at fault as suggested.

Fitness training obviously as I can still remember the pain of that climb; it turned into a horror story for me.
Pathways, the "Charlton style" and recruitment all come under his remit don't they?
