Social media has created an ‘I want it now’ philosophy, and a need by some to be publicly indignant. Impatience seems to be their motto.Redmidland said:The person who posted that rambling load of nonsense and abuse really is an embarrassment to his family and most Charlton supporters!! We have new owners who have been 'in-situ' just 27 days and yet they are 'insisting' we get players now. The bloody transfer window doesnt close for another 3 days, they have no idea, as do any of us, what is going on behind the scenes, who we may be close to signing or have already signed etc etc. I would absolutely love it, that if come Friday at 11 pm, we have announced 3, 4 or even 5 good signings. A lot of people on most social media who have been slagging off ESI and MS are going to look bloody stupid, especially the prat who wrote that 'diatribe' on HE Instagram account!!! Bloody idiot!!
Many of these people are the epitome of the old time ‘pub bore’ who seemed to have an opinion on everything but ... like the one or two we have on CL ... they could be ignored.
I do use social media, and find it useful and entertaining, but posting this on HE’s Instagram is just a ridiculous ‘look-at-me’ approach.

Signing him permanently would be a statement. He fits the model. Wouldnt get much change out of £4m for him though. "did somebody order a marquee?"CH4RLTON said:Heard iasac success been in talks today1 -
Doubt we'll hear much at all until deadline day. We hadn't really heard a peep about Field and Leko until the evening before deadline day and Kayal and Hemed came out of nowhere on the actual day. It is weird that we haven't brought anyone else in in this time but we're quite capable of securing four deals on deadline day again. We managed it under bloody Roland so I'm not too concerned about the logistics

Given the big boys in the Prem are starting to move players around now, i imagine the trickle down effect will begin to happen. No one is going to let players go until they have others lined up.2

Again, great if he’s in addition to keeping Lyle.Imnot Athletic said:

But when you look at his attributes - big bustling centre forward - you’d think he’s a replacement or being positive, back up for Taylor.0 -
At this stage I think I’d take signing Taylor to a long deal and no one else in coming.6

Looking at his stats he has not scored many at all. Sign him up hahaImnot Athletic said:

Have to say, I was expecting at least a couple of players through the door by now.
I'm sure there are irons in the fire, aces up the sleeve, etc, etc, but I was expecting and hoping for a bit more.3 -
We want the best Argentinian fillet steak, lobster and a bottle of Cristal champagne.
If we’re lucky we will get roe and chips and a bottle of coke .0 -

the skintest abu dhabi owners in history
still the old scrote goes(well partially for now) so i'm happy to be amongst all things Charlton again20 -
Does it matter when they come in really? Theres no point buying/loaning shit for the sake of it.Off_it said:Have to say, I was expecting at least a couple of players through the door by now.

This fully fit squad is more than capable, would additions help? Of course they would.
I think we will make a couple of signings but confident in this team avoiding relegation.2 -
if we sign him then @ElfsborgAddick will get name on the back of his shirt for sure.oohaahmortimer said:Anyone else open Charlton life up hoping to see a Sticky of

his stats would suggest he's not much of a striker, at least not a successful one ….CH4RLTON said:Heard iasac success been in talks today

Very quiet last few days, Matt Southall hasn’t even been liking any tweets or anything hopefully it’s the calm before the storm.1
-
We started the month with a decimated squad, so unlike the other sides in this division we needed players in earlier to be competitive in January - maybe we would have got more than 2 points out of 12 with a couple more players?king addick said:

Getting in players earlier would give more time to integrate them before Barnsley on Saturday and indeed meet any transfer cutoff deadline.4 -
Ooops..... 😁Elthamaddick said:wonder if Perry posts on here ?!?!11 -
Think its too late for a perm now, only in terms of agreeing terms, discussing wages, medical etc. Of course this could still happen and i know Cawley has been off, but we haven't heard a sniff from anywhere. Usually something would even leak from the selling clubs local contacts.
Can only see a couple of loans now, which i wouldn't be too upset with if they are decent.3 -

Finally a rumour and a bid, hopefully it’s us and not Brentford this time.

We'll just refer to him as Isaac then.LargeAddick said:
