Great if keep Lyle. Suspect he’s a replacement if he goes.BigRedEvil said:Cardiff City, Charlton, Sheffield Wednesday and Queens Park Rangers are eyeing late moves for Bristol Rovers striker Jonson Clarke-Harris before transfer deadline day. #cardiffcity #cafc #swfc #QPR #BristolRovers

This is what happens when you combine a big mouth with a small brain.

Not at all, i think we all want that. If players are available we will make offers, Maddison proves this. If the demands from players and agents are un realistic we should not just pay it.soapboxsam said:
Bizarrely I'm happy clappy when I watch Charlton but as I wanted as to loose the tag of being the 24th budget in the Championship I thought it was time to expect as to move up to 19th or 20th.(budget wise)AppyAddick said:
Don't consider myself a "happy clappy" fan, i consider myself to be a realist. We know what the Jan window is like and we know they are working hard to get deals over the line.soapboxsam said:Laddick01 said:Wasn’t expecting an exciting window but this has been about as poor as we could’ve done.
Unless the happy clappy fans are right and the next 57 hours are going to see a few players come in. If Lee is down to maybe 2 coming in and we hope Taylor stays, it doesn't augur well.
If it happens then brilliant, if we don't get the deals we want that's far from ideal how that makes those that refuse to be negative "happy Clappy" im not sure?
Is that too much too expect before 11pm on Friday ? (Taylor stays)
If we sell Lyle for a small fee, that's alarm bells. Don't see that happening, i really think the final day will be a very busy one. Just hope we hold our nerves, don't get shafted and add some more quality to a squad that is coming back to fitness.
The summer whichever division we find ourselves in will be a very very busy period, we have proper owners now not chancers or wide boys but people who are determined to make it a success. Failure is not an option for HE, so when we say keep the faith lets do that.

If we get no players in, I hope all the injured players (except JF-C, Page and Bonne), will be available to start Saturday0

Will Grigg has rejected a move to Salford City(!)5

Maybe MS should have been more pragmatic with his press conferences. He does look a bit naive with his previous comments in hindsight.1

Nobody has been saying Roland is the better optioncafc_se7 said:
This! Don’t care if this upsets people but for all you negatives....you ought to go and support City of you are not happy and claiming Roland is the better option! If I didn’t know any better, you were one of the group calling for Curbs head, if not you are as good as!AppyAddick said:So much negativity on this site it's unreal. Even people suggesting Roland is a better option.
Take a good long look at yourselves, yes it looks tough right now I firmly believe we are on our way back from this injury crisis and will push back up the table.
The players that will join us in the next 3 days will further strengthen the squad and we will re build in the summer, would you rather still have Roland?
If so you need your bumps read.We have got more than our fair share of absolute arseholes and that’s on here let alone Twitter.

Could be a lot worse, could have owners that don't communicate at all.shine166 said:
100% this, done himself no favours with early talk if nothing comes off.mendonca said:Maybe MS should have been more pragmatic with his press conferences. He does look a bit naive with his previous comments in hindsight.
All he did was say what he would like to target, he didn't say 100% they would be delivered.1 -

When you communicate about potential positives, then go missing amongst negatives, it does not lead to an overall end gain.0

Would love James Chester here. Surely our Welsh contigent could swing the deal!1

I think MS needs to learn that football makes normal adults act like sugar crazed toddlers being denied something they little minds think they deserve, as for those that act like that normally......So he really should stop posting transfer stuff unless it is done.
I love Twitter, however I post far less that I used to and I can't understand people that post stuff about people and include them, why anyone thinks they can influence our CEO or owner is beyond me. Do they think they feel the squad is adequate but one Tweet from them will make them splurge ten million pounds?1 -
Was the type of player I hoped we would be going for.cafcfan1990 said:Would love James Chester here. Surely our Welsh contigent could swing the deal!3 -
He would be a great loan signing imo. Can see him going Anderlecht though.CH4RLTON said:Heard iasac success been in talks today3 -

Stoke get Chester, Birmingham get Hogan, we get Green from Villasirjohnhumphrey said:Looks like Stoke signing James Chester on loan from Villa. Great signing if so.
Notable that the 2 relegation rivals are loaning experienced pros, whereas we've got a talented youngster0 -
Don’t worry, we are getting Pogba’s brother, some bloke from the League of Ireland and a midfielder from Rangers reserves.killerandflash said:

The person who posted that rambling load of nonsense and abuse really is an embarrassment to his family and most Charlton supporters!! We have new owners who have been 'in-situ' just 27 days and yet they are 'insisting' we get players now. The bloody transfer window doesnt close for another 3 days, they have no idea, as do any of us, what is going on behind the scenes, who we may be close to signing or have already signed etc etc. I would absolutely love it, that if come Friday at 11 pm, we have announced 3, 4 or even 5 good signings. A lot of people on most social media who have been slagging off ESI and MS are going to look bloody stupid, especially the prat who wrote that 'diatribe' on HE Instagram account!!! Bloody idiot!!31
