  • How do we tell all the foreign tourists KM seems to flood the East stand with that it happens at every game and join in?
  • There were large groups of Americans and Danes there on Tuesday
  • Does she spend all week going round hotels handing out free tickets to the concierges?
  • for arguments sake, 200/300 fans get on the pitch. Are you seriously expecting them all to be nicked? The police will be fully aware that the sky cameras are watching them as well as the fans.
The police as well as the stewards would want the fans back in the stands so that the game could commence more than anything else.
Yeah sure KM would most likely throw CCTV images up on to the OS to proceed with banning those from the valley.
Perhaps the police could do likewise, but if the numbers are large enough then they may not bother.

However, fully expecting some extra knucklehead stewards to be knocking about by the north lower turnstiles come Sunday.

I'm hoping no one gets nicked but some will. The club will be as spiteful as hell regarding this. I don't want to see any of our fans charged and banned. To think this will go off without some poor sods getting arrested is wishful thinking.

  • Disagree.

The Club cannot afford the negative publicity of banning non violent protesters with long histories of supporting CAFC.

Some of whom have been season ticket holders before the CEO was born.

Not sure if this is a 'tell them we will invade' to get them spending on police etc or if it really is likely, however I would think now you'll have almost Zero chance of getting onto the playing surface from the north stand, it's very easy there to queue up the stewards there. From the east is more likely a possible.

How much would it cost someone to change their season ticket from the North Upper to the East stand for this match?

This is interesting and I'm excited about it but that's because I'm from a distance and will not have to face any personal problem or consequence.

    1. You need to be completely sure EVERYONE that says they are going to do it, does it because you will look like a right muppet if your run on the pitch just yourself and a thousand hungry idiotic jobs worth roaring stewards spear you through the advertisement board.

    2. I'm speaking for myself here. If it was me I would probably only have the courage to do it if I was hammered and or moronically drugged up. That may go for others as well and that can cause problems for more reasons and lead to even more stupid/recklessness from people that don't deserve to have any run in with the law. You just care about your club...but still be wise. Not overly cautious, just wise.

    3. You need to know you may get a heavy ban from charlton. You might think that's a good thing at the moment and you don't give a monkeys....and eventually Varney will get the club back and dismiss these bans in particular. That may not happen soon though so, you know. KM will want every single one of you away from the club at any cost. Remember that. That will be a victory for her if she achieves it.

Other then that tear it up!!! I hope serious sh*t goes down and you really get the message across and make the regime feel very tired and un-easy in every way.

    Give em hell.

From the otherside of the Atlantic, I will be emotional for the occasion, good luck.

Listen, I do a lot of stewarding at sports events - not football (far too much hassle for what you are paid) - and I can absolutely assure you that the vast majority of orange jacketed stewards will not want to know when people try and get on the pitch. Most of this sort of stewards are students or old boys like me (!) who just want a bit of pocket money - and see the event for free! No-one is interested in playing the hero for what you get paid.

The only stewards to watch out for are the blue jacketed, SIA licenced stewards. Got to be said, many of them enjoy a bit of "rough and tumble". Stay away from them and your chances of getting "speared through an advertisement board" are non-existent.

That said, just be aware the CCTV at the Valley is first class and can easily picture all those going on the pitch. Could be that pictures go out afterwards asking for names so that the club can try and ban offenders.
I've been a steward at Wembley for football and non football events (securitas). I also had the SIA license which ran out a few months ago. Your right in what you say.
KM would make sure the playing surface stewards/security guards is full of jobs worth prats though.

A normal non SIA steward can't actually touch a member of the public so by definition they (I know from experience) have it easy. I see ya point.

Not much I think, as several threads have said you can change seats by prior notice up to three times a season with club consent.

Or you can try a season ticket on the barriers and often you seem to be able to get in through gates that don't lead to your seat.

  • East stand is the easiest way onto the pitch. Can't make Sundays game but good luck to all those planning this

Surely the West Stand is the easiest...

At the end of the season (when they get the stewards in front of the stands en mase) its easy for the Stewards to sit in front of the East Stand because they sit on the concrete which is raised above the pitch, means they can sit there but dont obscure the view of the fans.

The West Stand on the other hand goes level with the pitch and you dont see the steward numbers there come the final game.

Big mistake. What happens if we are winning ? Lose all respect for your efforts if this goes ahead.

If we're winning, you got any more jokes?

Seriously though, doesn't matter if we're winning. What happens on the pitch doesn't matter anymore.
    it does to me

  • you're bluffing

Hopefully they are cos pitch invasions during matches are always viewed very badly notwithstanding the way the insurgents risk being punished. BUT NightMeire can't take the risk this is a bluff she'll have to hire loads of extra goons and anything to upset her and chip away at the ridiculous budget has to be worth a try.
Obviously don't stage a pitch invasion ;) cos the damage to our campaign will relatively be greater than to roly's farce. We have to retain the moral high ground and riotous assembly being chased around by wheezing goons in hi-viz will only attract opprobrium and tabloid brickbats. Most spongers masquerading as journalists will write the easy "football hooligan" article and sup roly's beverages rather than do a proper piece on the real story. The satellite broadcaster can sure be relied upon to pander to the lowest common denominator, none of the despicable M"rd0(h's septic organs give a fuck for truth over sensationalist tub thumping. STaY OFF THE PiTCH! ;)

I'm not an expert but it is against the law and as such the courts can I think ban a fan from attending football matches. Not sure the club need to be particularly pro active.

it would be difficult though if 200 were on the pitch. Plod wouldn't be too happy to process that lot, would take till Wednesday week, and surely likely to just escort them from the premises and release without charge?

    Wish that was Katrien..

    I'm sorry.
She's already screwing all of us.
  • I've got no problem if people want to invade the pitch.... JUST SO LONG AS YOU DO IT WITH SCARVES ON YOUR FACES.

    Fify

Thing is though. It won't be everyone that gets arrested. It will be an unlucky half dozen or so. I wouldn't want anyone banned but the police could ask the judge without CAFC being involved. Minimum 3 years.

But who is going to assist the club with this? Even those who may not agree with the invasion would be pretty low in my view to then grass them up to the club. I am not trying to sound all "gangster" here, if someone I know committed a crime and I could identify them I would have a decision to make, but for something like this......I hope most people would do the right thing and keep schtum.
