I'm glad you didn't all go on. Granted, from the upper north I wanted you to but let's save it for Birmingham. We had a freak win today. No one saw that coming.
As 'the other bloke' who got on the pitch, yes, disappointing re the promised numbers. I went peacefully to the centre and pretended to shoot the two attention-seeking non entities in the directors box, the puppet in the dugout then turned around and clapped the sky box (Powell). Wearing an anti RD t shirt.
Senior bloke came towards me, I said I'm here peacefully, he was fine. Walked off, one of the stewards let me out, apparently she'd had a bottle thrown at her, I asked if she was ok. Then a blue steward took my (false) details... good as gold also, he even said 'I understand why you've done this'. Many thanks to them all. Then let out.
Only downer is looking over my shoulder being led off and seeing the other bloke scrapping with stewards and players. And that's apparently what sky showed.
You can but try. Cue the abuse.
My opinion the OP owes you an explanation
What have you done mate????
I was the only one out of almost 200 people who had the balls to take it public,
I was the one who took all the heat from the club and the police
I was the one who went and bought another ticket because I was told not to enter the ground today
I was the one who went up to the sky box and sang and protested live on to
I was the one live on to who was filmed blowing a whistle with a Rolland out top on
me and boogz have been an integral part of the protests, he also respects why I couldn't go on the pitch today!
I feel bad for the two guys. I genuinely feel like there were a fair few others who were there for the pitch invasion when the game had started. When it was clear the game clearly wasn't going the way everyone anticipated at half time they disappeared. I think that there still would have been a fair few that would have gone on but the fact they went on two minutes early kind of confused everyone, more fans than I thought would were booing and I think that probably put off anyone else who were considering it.

Got there early to see if we could assist with any of the shenanigans and as we walked up Floyd Road a policeman in his large van called us over and asked why we were wearing black and white scarves so got talking to him and he said he and a load of others had been called up yesterday to come in on their day off given rumours of a pitch invasion so anyone doubting this cost the club money can rest assured it did.
Well done for Bogszy for actually doing and and doing it the right way, peacefully. Glad they treated you the right way too. I thought it was a shame it did not happen more fully but I was never joining personally so no criticism to others for not doing so.
Me and the lad were never up for a pitch invasion and said so early doors.
Anyone who gave it the billy big bollocks and didn't put out should take a decent look at themselves and it ain't pretty.
The man who got wedgied off (it was right in front of us and they insisted on pulling up his trousers till his knackers must hurt), he's been let down by his mouth and no trousers mates.

No,its just that they bottled it. End of.
What did you do?
I'm guessing he didn't come on here and give a pledge that he would be on the pitch and then bottle it and fail to tell anyone else that he'd shit himself and wasn't going to do it now.
I understand that you had a jolly in Belgium for a weekend but after this I think I'd keep my mouth shut if I were you as you are starting to sound like a big headed, loud mouthed, attention seeking arsehole!
There is little more cowardly than setting out to get people to do something (that has risks) that you are not going to do yourself. Any respect you earned for a weekend trip where you had he audacity to hang a banner and hand out leaflets disappeared when you used it to lie about your intentions.
You are no better than Meire herself, except that your bullshit encouraged fellow fans to break the law.

Two guys only the rest of you should hang your heads in shame.

Well done Bogszy - courage of your convictions. We should have a whip-round to pay the fine for the other lad. Those criticising him should hang their heads, He did what he thought was best to cause some disruption. He ran on the pitch, he didn't stab anyone. No-one can know what was said but it looked like he reacted to one of the players rather than the other way around. I don't blame him at all for not going easily. He didn't throw any punches or do anything other than resist four or five Stewards who were forcibly ejecting him.
This post at half time was out of order if you knew before the match you couldn't take part.
I have massive respect for everything you've done, but asking people to risk banning orders and criminal records when you knew you couldn't be involved was wrong in my humble opinion.

I respect Boggzy immensely. Unfortunately it wasn't clear what his approach was on TV, because he was effectively alone. But well done for doing it right.
I would have been tempted to join if an organised invasion took place, but when CARD officially announced a lack of support for the invasion, it didn't cross my mind to do it. And I don't think the two who did can quite claim they were cut loose; an invasion clearly wasn't going to take place. At 0-3 I suspect things would've been different, but the atmosphere created by the performance changed things. Boggzy did what he thought best, but it wasn't like 200 people were literally on the fence and then bottled it.
This thread is making my head hurt. At the time I assumed that the reason no-one followed was because they were five minutes early and straight after a goal, which confused things. If it was never due to happen then I'm surprised that information wasn't shared nearer the time. The goal certainly made it difficult.

I was surprised that the large group of people at the front of the Lower North not only didn't invade the pitch, but also that the majority of them didn't walk out on 74 minutes either.
Stewards done nothing until the idiot got in the face of a player
No more stewards than normal just instead of congregating around the SE and SW corners they went and stood in the NW corner
This was the biggest opportunity to get your point across and make the difference you have banged on about and what happened? A few beach balls thrown on the pitch and a couple of whistles from the crowd.
The point has been made, but I'm not sure its the point you wanted to make...
This is bollocks though. Failed attempt to misrepresent a very successful afternoon for CARD.

The most disappointing thing about the day. And seeing many walk out at the end straight to the station/car. The mentality of some that follow us astounds me at times!

you owe bogszy a big fat apology and explanation for no going on the pitch when you said you would.
you're a bottle job if you ask me, not the kind of person who should be involved in organising any other protests.

He already knew as did the others who didn't bother.
It was also agreed not to go on the pitch if we were winning.
But as he said after the match he said fuck it now or never! It is just a shame that they other guy ruined it.
Quit while you're ahead. I probably wouldn't have gone on the pitch myself unless there were big enough numbers if at all. But then again that's why I didn't spend all week inciting others to before then bottling it and deflecting that bottle jobbery by pointing out other protest stuff that's irrelevant.
It's cowardly.
Fair play to all the protesters today and especially the two that got on the pitch. Did us proud.
