  • if it wasn't a wind-up then 198 people bottled it and left two others in the shit. No problem from me with a peaceful invasion, which boggzy's was, and looked like JBG really riled the other one or his may have bern peaceful too.
  • As for the other fella, yes he couldve handled his approach better but don't you keyboard warriors start slagging him off calling him this and that, least he had the balls to do it, took five of em to escort him off as well, so if you can match his braveness go call him a "twat" or "Pratt" to his face.

That will be no one then.

Two took him off actually.... This was shown on television to the nation lol bullshitters do get a lol

What benefit did starting on Harriott and Diarra have? It just made him look like a thug and an idiot.

Sorry but that's how the nation will have seen it.

Exactly, people who said they would but bottled it should be ashamed.
  • Weird one, this.

I was assuming it was a bluff to get the club to spend money on security only for it to be other protests happening.

Strange that it wasn't but then nothing much happened!
  • Big Rob my Man of the Match was Franky

Thought was him behind the Primark Sofa
Was surprised all the lights stayed on with the prince of darkness about.

No. It was a lot of Bertie big bollox trying to get others to do stuff they were too cowardly to do themselves.

Yeah, make you right to be honest.

If your going to protest make sure there Charlton fans....not rent a mob

Thanks for that wonderful insight Colin.
  • That was embarrassing. Made the protests look more pathetic if anything. Well done the guys that got on the pitch, hung out to dry by everyone else.

The fella that got in the players face.. Well I would be pissed of to if I turned around and no one had followed me on..

As 'the other bloke' who got on the pitch, yes, disappointing re the promised numbers. I went peacefully to the centre and pretended to shoot the two attention-seeking non entities in the directors box, the puppet in the dugout then turned around and clapped the sky box (Powell). Wearing an anti RD t shirt.

Senior bloke came towards me, I said I'm here peacefully, he was fine. Walked off, one of the stewards let me out, apparently she'd had a bottle thrown at her, I asked if she was ok. Then a blue steward took my (false) details... good as gold also, he even said 'I understand why you've done this'. Many thanks to them all. Then let out.

Only downer is looking over my shoulder being led off and seeing the other bloke scrapping with stewards and players. And that's apparently what sky showed.

You can but try. Cue the abuse.

    Well played @boggzy
  • If that was Boggzy get hauled off then Sir you have my respect. I think it was the wrong decision but you did what far too many other keyboard warriors on this thread didn't. It's shameful. Not because it didn't happen but because what was written on this thread.
  • I'm glad it didn't happen because it was always a very bad idea. More to lose than we could gain.

Having said that. I'm actually disgusted that some people on here were encouraging people to run on to the pitch when they themselves were never going to do it. They might suggest that they never were and it was always going to be a diversion but that was never made clear and some poor sod could and perhaps might get a criminal record because of this nonsense. Ashamed that this thread was allowed to thrive if it was always a wind up.

With you completely. Hate to be all "Won't somebody think of the children," but I'm glad that more impressionable people (who may not have fully understood the consequences) did not get caught up in this. As Shooters said, more to lose than gain.

I'd probably gone for it if I wasn't in Japan

    Oldest excuse in the book....
As I said I have no other charlton friends I look to this site to be in the "know" at least I now know its all bullshit. Sorry I wadjt there for the fake protest. I Thought we were meant to support the same club my point was that you have led astray people like myself who support the team and say what great fans we have but if you can only mock me your no better than big nose herself. I just think you have to realise some of us even iff it was a diversion are not going to realise this. We won and this is the saddest ive felt as a fan because you and you're 12 merry men who laugh at your shit joke have laughed at me for not realising IT was diversion. Great club, shit fans.
  • All the Belgian sympathisers out in full force this evening I see.

Quite a few were in the north lower this afternoon too it appears !

It was a bit weird because there wasn't that much of a higher presence of stewards etc, although I assume that will be given as the justification from the organisers for not actually going on the pitch.

    Double bluff! Damn it Roland.

Agreed, I've argued throughout this thread that it was a bad idea, the number of people who disagreed with me on the thread somewhat outnumbered the number of people who actually made it onto the pitch...

I don't know how much the club spent extra on stewarding, but to be honest I was expecting MORE security. There were hardly any searches coming into the ground, and minimal stewarding at the front of the East and West stands (when compared to the ring of security they always have for the final home games of the season to stop encroachment after the game), it certainly didn't look the club was expecting a major pitch invasion.

Well done mate!!! Let down by loads of people today but glad me and the president got on sky and you managed to get on the pitch!

The Belgian 20 still causing the most disruption!

Glad you were ok and hope you enjoyed the strongbow :) let the next protest roll

Let the keyboard warriors criticise and we will fight to get our charlton back mate!!
  • I feel bad for the two guys. I genuinely feel like there were a fair few others who were there for the pitch invasion when the game had started. When it was clear the game clearly wasn't going the way everyone anticipated at half time they disappeared. I think that there still would have been a fair few that would have gone on but the fact they went on two minutes early kind of confused everyone, more fans than I thought would were booing and I think that probably put off anyone else who were considering it.
  • I'm glad you didn't all go on. Granted, from the upper north I wanted you to but let's save it for Birmingham. We had a freak win today. No one saw that coming.
