The Australian had been training with the Addicks last week with the view to joining the Championship club. But the South London Press has been told that Charlton decided in the end not to eat into their budget with a deal for Jones as he would be third-choice when Stephen Henderson recovers from shoulder surgery. The Addicks have been in the market for a temporary addition ever since Henderson had his op and had also looked at Stuart Taylor.

I've got a feeling it might be that our Tracey has gone to Belgium to find Stephen Kelly who took the wrong turning on to the M20 and got caught up with operation Stack. I think he misunderstood when told that Charlton was just the other side of the Water.
