Great news. One month of first team football then straight into our starting line up.
  • We're no longer interested in getting a keeper in, getting a winger is still the main priority.
  • CHARLTON have decided not to add to their goalkeeping ranks as they look to pursue other targets in the remainder of the transfer window.
The Addicks had been looking for a stopper to act as cover for Nick Pope - who stepped into the side after first-choice Stephen Henderson underwent shoulder surgery.
But Henderson is not that far from a return to being in contention and Pope has impressed, keeping two clean sheets in the Championship.
Former Liverpool keeper Brad Jones had been training with the Addicks last week but signed a one-year deal with Bradford on Monday. And former Arsenal shotstopper Stuart Taylor had also been in talks about a Valley move.
But Charlton will not move in that area - unless their options are depleted any further.
The Addicks’ priority is to bring in a winger before the summer window closes.
  • We need signings ASAP now. Shit has hit the fan! Need another striker and RB as well as a winger. Come on Colin what's happening?!
  • We need a striker by the looks, no one is fit!

Should add a RB to that now if Solly is out!

  • Tucudean on the bench Saturday?
  • Reece Burke signed for Bradford on loan.2 players in a week we've missed out on to Bradford.decent
  • I said it a month or so ago (if you want to trawl through thousands of threads) that we need to bring in another couple of striker....at least one needs to be a 20 goal a season man. Last 2 away games has shown that we can create the chances but they need tucking away. Now we are going into a couple of games with no Watt & No Reza......leaving just the Great Dane, KAG and...........that's it !!
  • Brad jones wanted to much money and longer contract. Come on RD squad still need other signings.

Yes we heard you the first time....but.....who do you recommend for this 20 goal a season striker, because all the other teams in the Championship are looking for one of those...lets have a name or two.

You do spout some daft panicky nonsense golfie. We have Tony Watt, who has 3 goals in 4 games and won't be out for long. Sure, we need another striker as long as Igor is out, but who is this mystery 20 goal a season man you speak of? Andre Gray didn't even get 20 league goals last season and he's valued at £9 million. Do you have a name in mind that we can afford and who will score 20 goals? Because in these months of posts I haven't seen you name one. And if there isn't one then what's the point in panicking over something that can't happen?

  • Two options for the Weekend:

    Pope
    Bauer - Diarra - Fox
    Gudmundsson - Kashi - Ba - Cousins - Bergdich
    Makienok - Ceballos

    Pope
    Charles-Cook - Bauer - Diarra - Fox

Stifling B-G by giving him defensive responsibility and playing Fox as a centre half is a total non starter
  • Yeah, really can't have Johann as a wing back. Maybe cousins as a wing back and Gudmundsson with Ceballos, just behind Makienok.
  • Solly at RB I think.
  • Solly at RB I think.

I certainly hope so, but others are saying he won't play
  • At least it's his ankle and not knee. Can imagine him making it.
