There's two types of leaving early. Those who go at a set time because they have somewhere to be or transport to catch, an those who storm off in a tiff when a goal goes in or a pass goes astray; it's clearly the latter SCP was referring to.

Anyone in the second category last weekend - you got what you deserved, and so did the rest of us that stayed.

There are three types of leaving early, there are those of us that have far to travel (Berkshire) so watch the final few minutes on TVs in the concourse, so as not to waste vital time queuing on the stairs.

  • We're all different I guess, I felt sad for the 2 guys a few seats down who left about 5 minutes from the end for whatever reason and missed the goal, there probably not too gutted as one of them won the jackpot draw last week.
  • I thought it was a terrific performance and Hughes was again the main difference he lets all the others play by tidying up. Its been a great week and has secured our place in the Championship. Onwards and upwards COYR
  • I missed the winner saturday, had to be somewhere, heard the cheer just as I got outside
  • He will move into the middle eventually - possibly next season - but has some areas still to work on. We need to persevere though, because he has unique attributes.

I'll be surprised if Pritch plays more than a bit part next year tbh. You can't fault the blokes energy and effort but I'm not sure he's Championship quality and I'm surprised his match scores are as high as they are [puts tin hat on...]

Don't underestimate the value of energy and effort at Championship and league 1 level. We lost that after Kish left and were consequently frequently undone by technically inferior sides with effort and energy during the Pardew, Parky days to our cost.

I agree that every so often Pritch's non-league background has shone out like a beacon but for me the good far outweighs the bad.

Or maybe those of us who move to a seat nearer the exit in order to make a quick getaway

You might well be right - but then we should put in context his rapid progress from Conference to League One, and now Championship.

Also, this is Pritch's first full season as a 1st team regular, and at the highest level he has played.
He's very much still on a learning curve.

Obviously his workrate has been valuable in knitting the team together, but in another way maybe could be his undoing?
In being so involved, he is perhaps trying to do too much - and a more selective approach to the game would see him more composed on the ball, and with less under pressure passing and stretching to shoot, after a lung bursting run into the box.

However, this season he has played several roles competently, and on occasions been MoM or a close contender.
The experience gained will stand him in good stead for next season and no doubt make him a better player still.

I believe we are still to see the best of Pritch.
  • In my opinion if we are to become à better football team then pritchard would have to go.

He is the least talented and will never be à regular starter in a team pushing for promotion.

However i do believe he is good enough for Our current team and our current ambitions and am massively grateful for his endeavour and good attitude on the pitch.

Pritch has made great progress, but sadly he is unlikely to develop his main weakness which is his body strength. Opposition have clocked this and he is either easily knocked off the ball or unbalanced as he makes a pass. Sop all his energy goes to waste as he runs about like a manic Jack Russell, gets the ball and then loses it again. I feel he will end up as a good tier 3 player.

Good shout Len - and Oggy too.

Think about the curve he is on. Where he has come from and where he is now.

Now think about your own job.

    Scary shit in it.?
  • The things that pritch lacks can be coached into him which is the positive

  • There is absolutely no way Pritch should have been able to make the jump to non league. The fact that he's managed to get up to CCC level so quickly makes me think that he can develop further. Remember he's had less "proper" coaching than most of the U21 players. Some things will come with experience and some will come with more training. Of all our players he's the one with the most developmental room, you'd think.
  • Link to some pictures from the game on FB. If you havent already seen (Im not sure if they have already been posted) some good ones.

  • id love PB to prove me wrong but i am in the "dont think he ll get better" camp ..some basics like first touch and awareness ,longer range passing, left foot ,ability in the air (christ i am pulling the poor lad apart!)wont get better at his age ..i accept that he has made a massive jump and has done well ...in my view he wont take us forward though
