Many of you wanted Curbishley out because of what you regarded as boring midtable premiership football and look what happened!
We are privileged to have one of the most distinguished personalities in the game as our manager and some of you want the same again.
Have you learned nothing?
Distinguished Personalites? Oh, in that case then, step up Brucie and Anton Du Beck!
It's not about personalites, it's about who's got the ability to get the job done. The board won't worry about "distinguished personalities" around xmas/january time.
Shearer could come as a striker . Would be better than anything we have. Don't think all the plans are made by cp there are lots of old heads still at the club .

Chris Powell has ample ability "to get the job done" with the right backing from Board and fans.
For me it is quite simple, Powell took over us in the 3rd tier, so all the time we are in the 2nd tier the job is his. The time for discussing his future is when we are no longer in the 2nd tier.
Well on Tuesday we all better make sure the board know the level of support for CP win, draw or lose especially lose.
So if we lose again on tuesday, what exactly do you feel the reaction will be? I for one will not be booing if that happens, but the longer this home form shambles continues the more the crowd will turn.
I don't want us to go back into the same turd it has taken us 3 years to get out of, so for that reason alone, man up Powell, or find us someone that can do it!
A rendition of Chrissy Powell from the covered end would not go amiss at the end of the game to show our support for him.
Put in the same perfomance as today, then you will find most of them will have gone home by the end of the ref's parping.
Probably true. But if the fans want to keep Powell as stated by others here even if we were relegated then they need to show him support under all circumstances or the words that have been posted are empty.

But by then it is too late. We cannot afford to go down. So whatever needs to be done, the right decision needs to be made now. Mistakes are not good enough. If the board thinks he is right - then back him now financially. Whatever we end up doing, we cant wait. By Christmas we could be adrift.

Where is the money supposed to come from?
It's chicken and egg. If we go down, we are in all kinds of trouble IMO. If we spend and stay up, then we are better off. You have to speculate to accumulate. Even loans for crying out loud.

FFS - I've heard it all now. "You have to speculate to accumulate". Priceless.
The frustrating part for me is we are creating a lot of chances but just not being clinical enough! You need a regular goalscorer in this league and with no Kermo or fuller for a while I don't know where to look. Too be fair Powell can only put the resource he has on the pitch....don't think he should be blamed. He is doing his best with players and funds made available. We all know that no one will be more upset and disappointed with our form at the moment than Chris himself! He cares for the club which can only be said for a handful of managers about these days.
CP still learning (mistakes today) but I'd rather we went down than replace him.
As much as I want CP to stay, if it was a straight choice out of the two I know what one I would choose. Staying Up I'm afraid.
Replace him with who?
The manager that would keep us up if it were a choice out of going down with Powelly or staying up without him. That is the scenario you seemed to offer the options on.
However, if you are asking me what I think should happen given all scenarios then CP should be given a lot more time. If we though get entrenched in the bottom three then something would have to give. If a change is made, would it be successful, who knows?
One thing though, at home at least he seems unsure of his tactics (as another poster says the 2nd half today was like Pardews last game) and due to that he he isn't getting the best out of his players. I don't totally buy into that our squad is that bad - just needs to be utilised better.
On a positive the players are still playing for him, at the moment.

Powells job is safe as long as he doesn't open his e-mails!

Wind up? You are joking right? No, just saying how it it's. What's being witnessed out on the pitch at present is not acceptable.
Played 7
Won 1
Drawn 2
Lost 4
Goals For 5
Goals Against 10
Points 5
Replace him with who?
Today was not acceptable. 14 points from 14 games is relegation form.
