Is Steve Gritt doing work for the club? Because I spotted him going into the players entrance at the Boro game all suited and booted .........just saying
Am I the only one who's sick to death of people on here saying they heard this and that from an unnamed source that so and so are doing all sorts of dreadful things . Charlton Life is riddled with posts like it in the last few months and its like listening to the old gossipy mums who I see when I'm picking up my kids from school. Bla Bla Bla . Zzzzzzzzzz
The only way I could see SCP being replaced is if a new consortium are buying out Cash's stake and have in mind their own high profile appointee. If not, then we don't currently have the cash to replace him with anything other than a bargain basement manager/first timer....and what would be the point?
With this in mind, VFF, then you could be right about Hart - but it would hardly be a popular move, would it?
And as for this Shearer stuff - surely no one is taking it seriously? It sounds like utter guff on so many levels....
I just hope the board haven't got itchy trigger fingers, because sacking SCP would not help us one bit.

To be fair, the club should make a statement quashing the rumours if there's nothing in it. We live in hope!
LargeAddick Member 5:27PM heard a rumour the Board are chasing Shearer Quote
hope they don't catch him!
Would not be hard to catch him --sits on the sofa at the BBC talking crap and knows naff all about footy ....imagine him and his Number 2 Dowie
I don't particularly like the guy, nor do I want him at our club but clearly he knows more about football than anyone on here. That being said I wouldn't want him as manager.
I bet he dont ......i bet he knows sweet F))ck all about the championship except that he and dowie sent Newcastle to it..
The rumour I heard, albeit from only one person , was that SCP has TWO games, not four to turn things around.
I dismissed it as people with nothing more to do but put 2 & 2 together and make 5 ....
However, after this afternoon's disappointing result, it hurts me to say that this could well be in TJ's thoughts. His biggest nightmare would be for us to be relegated at the end of the season with him still holding the purse strings.
So, with total disregard to what his paying customers want, his choices are a) to sell and cut his losses and his dream of being a Premiership owner or b) to bring in a new manager with the hope of turning things around.
As Prague pointed out in his " TJ speak" post a week or so ago, it is , in effect HIS Club and he will make the decisions. We would inevitably urge him to take into consideration how close we were to taking the points at Molineux and at Elland Rd - without 2 of our main strikers who may well have made those missed scoring opportunities count. Then today , when Rob Hulse finds his shooting boots, we are without Ceddy & the nightmare scenario continues with another injury - this time to our newly "discovered" midfielder ! SCP is striving to find a settled team against all the odds and should be congratulated, not criticised.
Unfortunately, all we can do at this worrying time, is to get behind both the gaffer and the players and try to lift them towards putting more points on the board. And, as others have stated, sign up to the ST just in case the worst should happen...
I fear for him due to the amount of injuries we have and no money
I also do t think he is above criticism of selection tactics or decisions
But I suspect t he does not expect to be above those criticisms either
But if things dont turn and soon he will be gone IMO because this board will not risk going Down again and will do something to be seen as acting to save investment anyone who thinks they won't are mistaken

Last I heard was that he was chief scout for Bournemouth
I trust in Chrissy Powell. We're not dead and buried. Not by a long shot. We need a break and it'll come. I think people got on the players backs too much at times. I understand the frustration, when players give the ball away cheaply and pass into empty space. But do you think having a go will make em play better?

Another excellent post from a true Addick.
There is of course an option c) to hold his nerve, leave the football to the football staff, and try very hard to sustain our resources, and support any requests for more resources within realistic parameters.
Great last season. No one could ever disagree with that, but 5 points in seven home games is shocking. Trips to Yeovil and Brentford are closer than you think, unless results turn quickly.
Blimy give the guy a break, I for one will be very sad to not see CP in charge last game of season, no matter where we finish. He has earned the right to sort it out or cock it up. If we go down time for review but until then CP is the man for me.
Steve Gritt was at the training ground today watching the U 18s lose to QPR 2-1.Re the first team I thought we played alright in the first half and Hulse took his goal well. But in the second half we made a simple error for their second and the wheels came off.It could have been more.Powell needs to find a way of playing that suits us and stick to it.I know it is very difficult due to the injuries but I would play 4-5-1 for Cardiff and make it difficult for them.Talk of Powell going is ridiculous.
when someone like Shirty posts the above it makes you think. That's the problem when you bring back such a popular ex player when things don't go right, the possibility of them going stirs up emotions. I don't think he should go, but I do feel some of his selections are a little strange albeit injuries are mounting up. But ask yourselves if it wasn't Powelly in charge what would you be saying. For me we have had far too many managerial changes over the past few years, but at the same time Poweely needs to wise up.
If it was any other manager, then more questions would be asked. I don't want Powell to go, but if it was someone other than CP, there'd be a lot more criticism from the fans. Last season was fantastic but football is a business, TJ is a businessman and if Powell is not our manager next week then it will not be the biggest shock ever. As harsh as that sounds.
We have had bad luck with injuries and referees, aswell as probably deserving to win the games we have drawn (especially Brum, Blackburn and Leeds) but we're in a relegation battle. Some players are just not good enough, some players haven't stepped up and it is going to be a long winter unless something changes especially at home.
The owners, at any football club, need to be seen to be doing something. Look at Newcastle as a prime example. What if CP is pumped and replaced and the new manager comes, turns it round and gets Us a play off final place. Are you saying you won't be there at Wembley cheering Your club on? Get a grip ffs!

If we get stuffed by Cardiff i fear for CPs job and Paul Hart will be in charge.
Why would the club do that ?

We live in hope .
Parky done nothing for us and was going to be judged on results
We won the league last year with over hundred points
That gives SCP more time in my eyes
What he needs is backing and support but with no CEO and no funds he is fucked

Just to reitarate, I don't want Powell to go!!
