Apart from the new ground factor and both fixtures being similar distances, I think Exeter being an open terrace that you'll never produce an atmosphere (like Yeovil) would stear most fans on the Chesterfield route.
It could be the reason why I'm not going to Exeter but I am going to Chesterfield..........distance, time & money.
I do try to go to most away games, but seeing as our next 2 aways are about a 3 hour drive away then what with the price of the ticket, petrol etc then sadly i have to pick & choose. I went to Sheff Wed and so done January's quota and now I'm going to do Februar'ys quota by going to Chesterfield. I will probbaly do Huddersielf and maybe Oldham, probably Carlisle too. Its a shame that we haven't been located to say MK, where it would be easier to get to some of these Northern towns !!!!
I also doesn't help that Exeter is uncovered terrace and the game is in January where the weather could be "propa nawty"
Honestly DON'T want to start another "Sit down/Stand Up" debate, just wondering if anyone else read Patrick Collins article in the MOS yesterday ? Will try to scan it.....
Thought Exeter would've sold out by now. Up in the smoke for Blades, 2 hr train journey from Cornwall for Exeter. Yeovil 3 weeks ago. More football than I've had in years!
Looking forward to Chesterfield. 15 of us going to game. 23 of us in hotel. couple of mates coming across from nottingham. few other halves and kids amongst that lot, but will still end up messy.
Add 4 more to Exeter, got our 2 at about half 2 and there was a bloke behind me getting a couple.
Macronate, did you buy the family ticket from the superstore. If so I was the said bloke in question.
Small world, yes mate-bad news about the coach. Did I hear you say you're gonna drive now (wasn't eavesdropping, honestly)? Thx for letting me go in front of you by the way, thought I was gonna be there forever

Was going to drive but beer has won the day, so booked train tickets as soon as I got home costing the equivalent of the national debt of Mexico.
