Wednesday do seem obsessed with our away support-all I want to add is: as long as we have 11 players on the pitch, that'll be enough for you to concern yourself with.
Jeez, this whole thread is starting to get boring. Let the team do the talking. We can leave the playgorund stuff to after we get promotion! And hopefully as the champions.
The last time I went up there was awful. Lost 4 1 and just remember Wednesday singing "we've got or wednesday back" for most of the game. Terrible journey as well. This will be better though I'm sure. I've got a soft spot for Wednesday because of the goal they scored when Millwall were celebrating a disallowed goal and turned out that sent Millwall down at the end of the season.
@roseandcrown 15 of me and my lot went up there last season and drank on penistone road which is the Aroad by rhe ground. Cant remember what the pub was called tho...nice little closed in garden and away friendly...bout 15 min walk from the ground. Think the landlord is from round our way.

That was the last time I went as well. Jeffers scored right in front of us and removed his shirt whilst staring at the away end. When he scores against you and gives you're in serious trouble. We ended up bottom of the league.
First time up to Wednesdy. Is it best to have a few drinks in the Howard or Globe and then cab or tram to the ground. or are there any decent pubs nearer to the ground?
New barrack tavern is near the ground and is okay, I wouldn't do the globe or Howard because they are rubbish pubs, go for a drink on west street then get the tram straight to the ground.

On a different subject, does anyone know whether when away tickets are on restricted sale just to season ticket holders, you have to produce your ST before the game? Or do you just have to quote a reference number when booking. In other words, can I use a friend's without actually having it in my hand?

Considering its on general sale, you wont have to do anything
Black puddings very black today mother, even the White bits are black!
That night, as we talked excitedly about shovels and precipitation, OWLS1867 and I decided we had so much in common, that we would form a gang, dedicated to persuing our common interests. OWLS1867, with his long criminal record, was loathe to divulge his name, so we called ourselves... the Wendy Gang.

Yeah I was referring to Exeter, hence the opening line 'on a different subject'. I jjust couldn't bring myself to start a new thread.
I doubt we have to be honest, think we've taken around 2k to 3 of the last four visits to The Valley with this seasons 700 being a low point and whatever you gave us for the games in 1995 and 1999.
In your last three visits to S6 you've brought 630, 703 and 408
Edit but this isn't a dick measuring competition, most Wednesday fans (myself included) accept we're a medium sized club with lots of potential but we find ourselves in the third tier due to woeful mismanagement from the mid 90's onwards, slowly we're trying to turn it around and get this once proud club back up the leagues.
Wrong move mate mentioning away followings, I criticise our away support, those figures are not too clever are they
They are the biggest club in the Division but they haven't got the best team. We are pretty big for this league but there are bigger clubs than both of us in the higher divisions - what does it matter really?
ive been looking at the prices for train fares there... £43 adult ticket from london st pancras return. anyone seen it cheaper?
Not easy for everyone to book in advance but generally speaking 10 weeks tickets go on sale and you can book at a fraction on what would be 1 week before the game
Wednesday are a big club, very big!! No doubting that. There continued away numbers, depsite being in this league are testimony to that. Im sure they have filled the Jimmy Seed in the past (well, sold all they could have) - they def did in 99. But to the Wednesday fan, im pretty sure in the Cup in 04 or 05 we had over 2k up at your place in the 3rd round (2-4) and we also had a result outside, which probably don't sit well with your lot
I didn't go to the cup game, it was January 2006 BTW, stayed in the Park Hotel and spent the admission money on Lager, dunno about any reulsts outside, but if that was they day that involved Mr Naylor i'm hardly surprised, to be honest I've always seen Charlton as a nice family club
Who cares if Charlton had a row with Wednesday? This is not the 1980's

The truth is, they only want our money.
