It's absolutely ridiculous. Can only think its Millwall fans in disguise. Trying not to bite but the idiots really are on here tonight. I only hope he does not read this forum or the morons might just get what they wish for.
Kermorgant was outstanding, even when he didn't find a player that was seldom his fault, more someone else's failure to anticipate.
Very impressed with Solly as well in the second half, one crucial interception from a cross and generally strong defensive play.
Played better when Pritchard came on - it didn't work for BWP today. I don't think he's lazy at all but if Clarke does come in it should keep him sharp.
Really feel for Wagstaff - this was one of the few chances he'll get this season and he didn't even touch the ball before being subbed.
Hayes was his usual 'one-moment-brilliant-next-moment-awful' self.
It's only a bad result if we let it get to us - Brentford are a good side but playing them so soon gives us a chance to get today out of our system.

he's been very poor for a while now. What do you suggest just keep playing him all season regardless of how he plays because he was banging them in a few months ago?
5 million don't make me laugh. needs to be dropped at least, shown a message that he can't keep getting away with playing crap.
You make it sound like he's doing it deliberately...have you ever played the game mate.....I don't think so because you'd know you go through spells when things don't go right for you....no accountable reason the magic leaves as quick as it came..and can just as suddenly return.

Rhodes went a few weeks without scoring were people screaming sell sell sell? No.
Rhodes and BWP are of similar quality IMO, he will be sold in January for 4m to a championship club we are competitors so would have to pay 5m IMO to get him.
Anyway, you clearly have a clouded judgement on BWP. The player with 14 goals in our team, second best in the league.
Let us see what Powell wants to do, I suspect a rest is in order.

So your solution is to get rid of him? That an amazing statement you made. You got your reaction. End of.
Posting this before reading the thread, or knowing anything about how things came over on the telly.
The game turned on Hamers sending off, and I think we would have won with 11 v 11. Despite their man advantage for nearly the whole game Orient could still have only drawn when we attacked near the end.
I thought we had to adjust, but it took a while for the players and management to sort out how to make the changes. John Sullivan grew into the game, but I thought the central defence were in a bit of a tiswas for the first half, and we played it (necessarily) uncharacteristically long up to half time. Having said that, Wiggins gave us a bit of an attacking threat, and Solly was outstanding and gave absolutely everything he had...this boy is no Simon Francis!!
The introduction of Bradley Pritchard nearly swung it around for us, maybe it was a bit late in the day, but the excellent Kermorgant was doing a sterling job up front, and Pritchard gave us a bit of an outlet that BWP isn't really able to provide.
No panic, three points from two away games is good going...my worry is how knackered they will all be for Brentford, and this is where we, as fans, can help.
my solution is to drop him. I was pissed off first post had just got in. I have played football for before thanks, pretty sure had I put the amount of effort in he has been putting in recently, i wouldn't be starting.
BWP is not one of the main reasons we are where we are; the TEAM is the reason we are where we are. With such a strong team as we have Pritchard could be slotting them away as easily and if scoring goals is such a confidence thing then why in spite of such a good run of results is BWP playing with such disinterest. God help us if things do go against us . No it is a weak character that we have where the team comes second to BWP . The man has real talent no question but we cannot act as if he is some kind of elevated persona. If he has a poor game so be it but if his attitude stinks then no harm in bringing it to his attention. We love BWP but does he love the team? And will those of you who think this is negative get real. This is CONSTRUCTIVE criticism to make things better not worse. Confidence is not built on falsehood but on reality and bwp REALLY CAN turn things around. I really want him too otherwise in spite of 14 goals he will stay in League 1 come next August.
God there is some crap on here about BWP. It's not that he is disinterested its that he needs a rest. Maybe the signing of Clarke will give him that break or rest him against Fulham.
it's his attitude not that he needs a rest. He played agains't Hudds on 28th November, then had a break to the 10th of December because of FA cup and in the bulk of those games since the 10th he hasn't looked interested.

John, there are a couple of real planks on here who are suggesting we should sell him because he's lost some form...that's why some of us are incredulous..no one here is saying he shouldn't be criticised if he's playing badly but come on there's one or two going totally OTT.........don't confuse the two issues John.
He doesn't need a rest .He needs a goal - he ain' gonna get one sitting on the bench. You drop him now just as the transfer window kicks in your asking for him to walk .
Ok Sound as but I dont hear enough spoken about the general spirit in the team which has been brilliant even today I thought the defense whilst a bit all over the place still put bodies on the line and deserved the support and applause we gave them; that is what is so very good right now. But if just one person starts to not adhere to this spirit then its like a cancer that spreads and fans are right to point this out. It wont be the best players that get promotion (of whom BWP is surely one) it will be the best TEAM. I keep saying bwp can turn things around in his heart and mind. This could be where he moves forward as a player and being honest with himself is the best start he can have . All this forum is doing (and yes there are some posts here that are OTT) is putting it on the table. We are supporters (a term deriving from the meaning to serve as a foundation for/ to hold up/bear something) and there is no team worth its salt that is built on falsity and shallow platitudes so I say be true and honest and at same time be respectful

I think I can confidently say no one here would disagree with those sentiments John.
big test for powell with the red card coming so early, feel he made the wrong decision taking waggy off and leaving solly alone with cook who has a excellent cross on him. Bwp and kermit in the 1st half just kept switching to the right and seemed confused who was playing there. when pitchard came on, we were more compact across the midfield and got some good play together.
Hayes needs to shoot, tried to assist too often when he came on,,especially when he as in good space to get a shot away.
one negative note was a idiot throwing coins at people sitting down there were kids were around, could of being a bad incident cause of mindless stupidity,
How did the referee make the decission to send off Hamer, (although probally proved right by Sky slow mo), he was at least 15yards away, he did not consult the linesman who in any case was in no postion to to say wether or Hamer was outside the area, he was nearer the goal line and did not flag. The Sky commentators said it was the correct decission only after viewing the slow mo, but CD thought it was harsh before seeing the reply, also the freekick was taken at least 5yards outside the box.
I think in saying the sending off was harsh the commentators might have meant the rule is itself harsh because there's no room for an interpretation of intent or not as the case may be....he clearly handled the ball outside the box but it was very harsh that he was sent off because it wasn't intentional as much as a purely instinctive reaction.........for which he 'harshly' HAD to be red carded.
Maybe that's what they meant by harsh, as in the rule itself is harsh, rather than the ref being harsh because let's face it he had little choice than to send him off.

i disagree. there is a clear inference that bwp has an attitude problem. i don't think he has. i also think we are very lucky to have him

One thing is for sure, if we are to retain top spot we need our top striker firing.
And at the moment, he isn't.
According to my West Ham supporting mate there are a few rumours there that suggest he could be signing for them.
Or sub a striker and leave the midfield as it was
When it was not working he shouldve taken off bwp and put pritchard on earlier , I expected a change at half time
But he will learn from tonight like we learned after stevenage
And come back stronger for it,
Bwp like it or not is not performing nor looking like he has confidence
He needs a break end of imo
You drop him now just as the transfer window kicks in your asking for him to walk .
He does need a rest and we have the perfect opportunity against fulham to do it ,
It's the 1st season in ages where injury has not given him that break , you cant just leave him on regardlessly

Is that clear? Well I hope so.........LOL!!
