Our next meeting is a week away. While the Fans' Forum has a number of things on the agenda already, please feel free to suggest anything you'd like to see included.
We're looking for sensible, broad questions rather than specifics like 'why did Parky try to defend a one goal lead for the entire second half against Swindon?', but I know I can rely on you all to appreciate that.
We already intend to ask about budgets for the coming season, changes to the squad, expectations for the season (and what they are based on) etc, but keep the suggestions coming.
Thanks.

One of the things that would help the big screen decision is to know what is the minimum that fans want to see on it. Presumably the score (and time?) is an absolute minimum, but is that it? If the line-up, mug shots, feeeesh etc were not included, would the big screen still be worth having?
I think its good to see the shirt sponsors name though.....also Dave, I mentioned before...when one of our players scores....can the announcer say for instance "The scorer of our 6th goal against Southampton is Jimmy Bloggs (for want of a goalscorer) sponsored by (insert sponsors name).
Ive heard it done at quite a few grounds now and think its something that will maybe encourage past sponsors to do so again...and it costs.....nothing.....easy peasy?
Cheers mate....Tel
I don't see no harm when reading the teams out choosing a different player to isolate every home game and giving out their sponsors name
ie. Game two:
"Leeeets make some noise for the boys........your Charlton team this afternoon, in goal for the Addicks is No 1 Robbie Elliot, No 2 Frazer Richardson, No 3, and sponsored this season by Terry's Dodgy DVDs, is Kelly Youga, No 4 is Nicky Bailey...."
Game two:
"Leeeets make some noise for the boys........your Charlton team this afternoon, in goal for the Addicks is No 1 Robbie Elliot, No 2, and sponsored this season by Cardigan Casuals, is Frazer Richardson, No 3 Kelly Youga, No 4 is Nicky Bailey...."
Adds about 2 seconds, yet gives extra recognition
We will, just might not be the same player eh?
One of JT's videos of Rachel will do nicely on the big screen, and I am sure if this were to happen all of us on here would raise the money to keep the screen in tip top condition in a flash.
Yeah well how about subs, scorers and a different player each home game....cant be too complicated can it?
Thank Gawd for that.
I thought he meant we wouldn't have a Club next season.
It seems to be going full circle. Will we have a board along the touch line so that we can check the half time scores?
Yep, takes seconds and gives additional recognition which costs nothing yet makes sponsors feel more valued
Would be interested to know how many Valley Gold cancellations were received in May.

I think we did that at the time, but we'll re-inforce the point. If it's any consolation (and I know it isn't), the Club had put much better ticket allocation plans in place had we got to the Play-off Final.
I think lessons were learned.
2. How will the away points systems be used next season when tickets are hard to get? Is the current system sophisticated enough or should there be different points for different away games attended?
3. What is being done to further develop the Young Addicks after its launch as young fans are the future of the Club?
4. If there is to be no big screen next season why and what attempts were made to find sponsorship? Would the Club be prepared to allow fans to pay for a screen and rent it back to the club?
5. What are the plans for the Fans' Forum? Its membership were all on a probationary period and the original plan was for elections. When will these take place, if at all.
6. When will the accounts of the POTY event be published?
7. What action is the Club taking over de-recognising the "rotten borough" this is the Greenwich and Bexley Supporters' Club?
Agree totally but more support and easier access to guests with more advanced notification of who the guests would be would of help.
Also events away from the Valley in the towns of Kent might help to re-energise fans in those areas.
Valid point.
I go to watch football so refuse to start queueing before the first half has finished. If the queues are too long I simply will not bother as, similarly, I refuse to miss the start of the second half.
I may be an exceptionally contrary miserable old git but nevertheless I doubt that I am alone and in my view the Club is missing out on potential revenue when it needs it.
I'd add too that with pubs in Charlton closing or hopelessly overcrowded there would be potential to make more money from the bar areas before matches if they were to get some decent beer in and not take the pi** too much with prices.
Just an opinion.
No. 6 - have you asked Steve Bailey? We can get the Club's perspective, but a direct question to the POTY Organising Committee would make more sense. You can do that as well as the Fans' Forum or the Club might.
No. 7 - does the Club share your view that the Greenwich & Bexley branch of the Supporters' Club is a 'rotten borough'? If not, then the question is irrelevant at next week's meeting. What do we need to take to the Club, if anything, to educate them so that the question has relevance?
We'll take on board points 1- 5. And, yes ... the Fans' Forum membership/scope etc is already on our agenda.
Also could next season POTY can we hand in our nominations at the turnstiles.
4 years running I haven't found anyone to put my vote in. I would've voted Semedo this year and as he only lost by 1% my vote may have counted!
I'll email him
Then can you ask them their opinion of the status of G & B and say that some fans think they are a "rotten Borough" and what is their opinion of that.
Good - and the elections?
