  • Will he still do the tunnel jump if he comes back as manager

[cite]Posted By: Shrew[/cite]Now 2/1 favourite , someone must be putting some money on him....

Really? Would love it if it worked, but that's a big IF.

Do you have a link, as I can't find it anywhere.
  • Is this favourite for Newcastle or for us?

Now 8/1 on for next Charlton manager!!!

Would be a very popular choice, even if he hasn't got much experience.

  • Not sure if I'm understanding correctly, but when going through Oddschecker to SkyBet, it tells me Gary Johnson has gone to 3/1, with Chris Powell now 1/8! Guessing someone must have heard something for that change to go through?
  • What is his role at the Foxes? Coach or is he Sven's assistant? He said a while back that he would love to comeback as manager one day
  • This is getting stupid. 1/8?!
  • This would certainly seal the deal between the new board and the fans. But he will need someone experienced alongside. Step forward Keithy!

He is first team coach at Leicester.

cheers thought so. One of very few recent players that was loved by one and all. Since being relegated from the Prem my best moment watching Charlton (other than the three wins over the Nigels) was his goal against Cov

  • great player, total gentleman ,love him to come back and be a success ?
  • What experience did Eddie Howe have when he became Bournemouth manager? Maybe it can work...
  • He has a 100% managerial record for our resident statto...

    P1 W1
  • Wow now there is a name that would unite the fans

    Come home my son

if there is no shred of truth to this then i hate the pricks putting money on their on line betting to make his odds come in
  • p.s. I might have a pant emergency if this happens!
  • Would certainly unite the fans even the ones sceptical about his lack of experience would find it hard not to give him their support. That's the good bit out of the way. Gamble on a monumental if not bigger scale.

I may have two - one on each side!

I'd love Chrissy Powell to come back, but I'd be terrified it might all go tits up and ruin a beautiful friendship.

D you know the bookies they are f----rs ,powell back as manager would be great ,total proper bloke would hate it for him if it all went tits up though.
  • J he would be given time and i get the feeling that the club are looking for a young man who would be wiling for a spport structure above him for us to grow again in the right way

Sir Chrissy powell come on home son i will even polish those shite brown shoes you love so much

If i cant have curbs then i would adore Chrissy
  • But he's such a perfect little man how could he fail at anything?!

  • Mrs McMoist's reaction on me saying Chris Powell's the new favourite for the Charlton job "now that's good - I might even renew my season ticket"
  • We're copying Palace... wouldn't be unhappy if he came, but i'd feel a bit cheated, no experience - could go horrifically wrong but could be massive (fingers crossed!)
  • Would love to see this happen with maybe Mark Bowen or Mark Robson as a number two.
  • Brilliant if true.
  • Crissy P as number one, sir curbs as DoF would do me
  • How many people have been odds on with the bookies so far ? ..........................................
  • High level of respect with ALL players due to his role at the PFA; worked with Jim Smith and Curbishley both highly respected managers.

We're due a bit of luck and imagine if a legend became a legend. And imagine the atmosphere at the first home game he's in charge...

it would definately give everyone a lift and 1 thing is for certain the crowd would get right behind him .
  • Powell, Robson and Matthew would look sound to me but would want Keith Peacock lurking as an advisor.

Could be a dream ticket ?
  • add to that sven as well mate

leicster have had loads of managers if he has nicked a bit from all of them he could be the dream ticket

total heart over head moment though
