A journo says he's heard a rumour. Only a rumour. Not fact, not even a "good source" just a rumour and now he's back tracking on it.
As for Sainsbury, Muttley says he's trying to "put the money together to buy the club" which implies that, as when he tried to buy Leeds, he doesn't have the money. So, no thanks.

I just typed Kenny Huang to buy Charlton into Google, one of the links above was listed and mentions one of our very own lifers in the same breath as Hicks, Gillett and Huang so perhaps a certain someone on this very board is a multi billionaire and will be completing the takeover!
The reference to Kenny Huang on DR's twitter appears totally incidental to any Charlton rumour-mongering, he's just at the Sports Summit DR is currently at

Roan says that it was going to be completed last wednesday, but we should keep watching this space. You should always trust BBC journo's for info. Mihir Bose has also said a takeover is guaranteed with in a short time ..... although that was before relegation from the Prem was confirmed!!!!

he hasnt updated his tweet for over 3 hrs which suggests he will only post when he knows "something"
why havnt cafc official released a statement to quash the rumour if theres nothing going on?
well he's certainly not elaborating. If he's got at story why isn't he telling it?
Dan Roan is currently in a briefing with Kenny Huang!
Why is there nothing on the Beeb website saying that CAFC are about to be taken over breaking news
then there would be a need for Cafc to respond
who??

Re Charlton Athletic takeover, I'm on it - deal was meant to happen on Wednesday, and didn't, but it remains very close

Kenny Huang has so far declined my requests for an interview - he's in a Sport Summit panel debate at 11.20"
