Not fussed at losing out on Begovic. QPR fans were not exactly excited by him and he's definitely on the way down in his career. Probably would have been an expensive and risky signing
I believe we are looking at someone but, personally, think it's Mannion's shirt to lose at the moment. The guy we are looking at would probably expect to be first choice so it could be an interesting battle between the goalies. Or would it be a headache having 57 varieties of goalie pick from. We'll leave that for Nathan to decide

not ITK at all but I'll be amazed if we don't sign a keeper to be No 10

Shows he is still rated in the wider footballing world with promotion rivals going in for him.2 -
Would be very surprised if we entertained a loan for Taylor , think he's still going to have a quite a big role to play.15

Wouldn't make any sense moving on Taylor, unless we signed 2 or even 3 midfielders, especially if Fraser is also off0
-
Agreed that I don't think he'll go, interesting the calibre of clubs interested though. Both teams really aiming for promotion so they clearly believe he has the quality0

I do think Ash could be a very good keeper if he starts to gain more positional awareness and confidence in organising a defence, hes a good shot stopper2

People wanting Mannion to be our starting keeper (until January) cannot be serious btw.
We need someone in as #1.4 -
Unless Jones really doesn’t fancy Taylor or we get a money bid too great to turn down I think we’d be mad to move Taylor on. He was very well thought of when we signed him and must be out to prove a point.11

not sure why we'd let him go to teams who we are likely to be competing with too0

Can't think of a keeper named Heinz.2 -
I’ve never really seen Lumley so got no judgement on him, just passing it on. Even when Begovic was rumoured to be close he was saying we’ve asked to be told of his availability later in the window. Maybe just a back up option/emergency later in the window

We need someone in as #1.No matter who we bring in or when, I feel Mannion should start on Saturday as he has been training all summer with the team/squad.0 -

Imagine Mannion was signed with the idea he'd be our cup keeper.0 -
There is also an Austrian international called Heinz Lindtner. Mixture of hints available there, Beans and Swiss chocolate.0

NJ must like Mannion, a bit of worry if we bring in a number 1 and he gets injured if he does not trust him3
-
Well lets see what squad number Mannion gets this week

A Boro supporting mate on Lumley:
’One of the worst keepers I’ve seen. Awful.’7
