Agree if we could get Asiimwe a local L2 loan that would be absolutely ideal , I think he'll flourish with regular games.
So GK, CB and CAM in. Shame we've got too many strikers with the additional option of using TC to go for Joe Taylor on loan - looks like he'll be at Huddersfield.
With Leaburn and Aneke being two of our 6 strikers we really haven't got too many forwards/ strikers.
Most games 4 strikers will get on; two at a time.
Plus the option of Kanu and Campbell giving width for plan B if the wing backs aren't working.
No team other than Man City under Pep can only have a plan A.1 -

I'm just wondering if a parent club would look at our options and go " no we won't loan a striker there because we aren't sure how much they'll play"1 -

Have you watched football recently away from League 1? Teams playing a back 3 with wingbacks rely on the wingbacks for a lot of the forward play and momentum, like Grimaldo and Frimpong at Bayer Leverkusen or Dimarco and Dumfries at Inter Milan.5 -

Given the above I think it should be possible to bring him in, even if he fails to get the work permit approved.1 -

Why should Fraser cut and run ? If I was him I’d do exactly what he’s doing. Sit it out and see if the club offer to pay a good percentage of his salary, pay him off or a combination of either. He’s a professional footballer selling his talent to the highest bidder. He’s not a Charlton fan, he’s an employee. It would be great for both parties if it gets satisfactorily resolved but if not I don’t see either club or player at fault.1) Charlton

As you can see, he's quite low down. Yes, I can see the situation from his side, but should I care? Should I care that he make an extra 2-3k while doing nothing to earn it? Because I don't. I care a lot more that he goes and we bring in a quality player with his salary. Because that could be the difference between getting out of this league or staying in it.
Had he been a good player for us, I think I'd have a lot more sympathy.

Heard Dixon likely to be given a few games in the U21s in order to settle in to English football.29

But tbf the last 3 seasons have been total shit resulting in our lowest league position for 98 years.
He has been far more correct in what he says than some of the more optimistic posters on here .11 -

He has been far more correct in what he says than some of the more optimistic posters on here .It’s the constant ‘I’m not going to watch/I’m no longer going to be a Charlton fan’ at the end of posts or the turning everything into a moan even if it goes against a moan he has made earlier.12 -

ShootersHillGuru said:I suspect Fraser will be gone soon which will free up some money for one of our targets but I think getting three out, of AMB, Ness and Edun might be a challenge. I’d expect AMB to remain now and we go with Mannion and him. A loan for Ness and Edun is I’d think 50/50. Ness the more likely to go. What priorities Jones has on getting one or two in remains to be seen.
I think it depends on other clubs assessing their needs as well, with a month remaining of the window, most clubs would like their incoming business settled but that is rarely the case. A goalkeeper like AMB needs to play to progress, he's not the finished article for sure, but he is still learning and needs game time, he and his agent may think the same. As for Ness, there seems to be a lot of players in front of him and I agree Shooters, a loan for him seems the likeliest of the three, as for Edun, it was interesting that he was used in midfield in a couple of friendlies, perhaps like Tyreece Campbell, Jones sees him a different role, I certainly don't think he will fill the left/wing back role anytime soon.0 -
