If he is Semedo hopefully history repeats itself as no one wanted him to leave but we went on to win the league the next season but yes he’s better than the other two but I just don’t think he’s that great , great tackler but that’s about it and I think we’ll see that this season with a more mobile midfield.wmcf123 said:

Lee is a great player. Knocks spots off our midfielders. Probably 2nd to CBT for goalscored & assists. Probably will score more goals than our midfield combined.wmcf123 said:

Currently we don't have a goalie, we do have a prospective leader in defence with Mitchell A, we don't yet have a proven midfield general, maybe Berry but have not seen it yet, and we don't have a fit 9 to lead the line. So a lot still to be desired about our spine.4 -

That would be the same Mullin who when last in League one scored a whopping 3 goals in 20 games? Okwonko, a keeper who has never actually played above L2 before? Dobson we know the qualities of but again he's brilliant if you want solid and dependable but he does not turn an average team into a good one on his own as proven by his stint here.eaststandmike said:

Wrexham are easily good enough to be a decent L1 team. But they are no better than that.
I'm not really that sure we're that much better ourselves at present and I think we're still a far way from being real promotion contenders. But honestly if we don't do better than Wrexham we will have been much worse than I was expecting.5 -
Nathan Jones said the goal for this window was for us to come out of it categorically stronger.
In light of losing CBT, May & Dobson in 2024 the jury is out as to whether we’re better than last year in my opinion (we haven’t replaced these players with better from what we’ve seen so far….albeit early days)14 -
If we sign Begovic, then him, Docherty and Godden are proven at a level far above where any of them have played. Plus that's their 3 best players apparently, the majority of their squad isn't at the level, even O'Connell didn't pull up trees hereeaststandmike said:

Think Mannion / AMB are much better keepers then a youngster from Arsenal , Dobson rather have Coventry more all round skill and Doc .. give you Mullen but untried in top half of league one .. Godden is a championship strikerTodds_right_hook said:

Dobson or Coventry is the question. Dobson is best in that holding midfield role, which is where Wrexham will play him, not where Jones was playing him. Berry and Docherty are different players so that’s not really the comparison.Yann897 said:

I’d probably be more comfortable with that than what we have now, but Coventry definitely has it in him to be better, we just haven’t really seen it yet3 -

Mannion, Ahadme, Edwards and Mitchell have played next to no Championship football between them, that is over half our signings to date so this statement is not accurate.7 -
Cannot believe how badly people have reacted to losing a friendly match. I mean, I can, but I'm disappointed. It's a very fickle mindset; there was real positivity on here when we signed Docherty and it was all about getting those final pieces in. One poor performance in preseason and people are crying about our terrible squad, yelling about bad ownerships and trying to see how much of Wrexham they can fit in their mouths. Must be exhausting being this easily broken

I guess too similar to Docherty(?) but surprised Brendan Weirdu hasn't left Fleetwood yet.
Likewise surprised Nicky Cadden hasn't been snapped up yet.2
