Sadly didn’t score against Bolton a few games back. But still scoring in 6 of last 7 league games is superb for a striker playing for us.ForeverAddickted said:

I just assumed he used to play for them or something, was proper weirdValleyGary said:McGrandles celebration was a bit muted wasnt it. Go mad fella!0 -
I actually thought he should’ve headed it back across goal and had it not gone on then I suspect most would also be saying the same.
hope it’s a turning point for him but won’t be holding my breath, not seem anything from him to tell me he’s good enough to start in our midfield2 -
Did not expect that. First goal avoidable if we set up properly at corners. Both ours were sloppy from them at near post but ‘whatever’ 😀. Can’t believe we didn’t get a pen when their CB went up at that corner with his arm straight up and deflected the ball 🙄. Sneaked into a home pub after the game and plenty of salty fans there and on the train… love it!!!0

Keeper mugged himself right off dropping to the ground..laughable7

Just got in from a cracking away day , proper old school that ,could have gone either way , but feel Mcgrandles has some neck for refusing to celebrate and cupping his ear when he hasn’t done a stroke since he signed for us .6

Your clutching at straws now Golfie, you've moved on from your misquote about Appleton finding out about eleven players, which he never did, but you used it so as to justify your opinion that McGrandles is a shit player. Be humble sometimes Golfie, fact is you or I haven't seen hardly anything of McGrandles to declare him shit or otherwise. As for the Managers decisions, most people think he wasn't at fault for Cray, the players were.golfaddick said:
Perhaps CBT thinks if I'm not good enough to play against Cray then I'm not good enough to play against the League leaders.....and was giving Appleton the finger.Valiantphil said:AMB is easy MOM
CBT - shocking today, not interested.Dobbo - same old Dobbo
May - worked his socks off.
Or maybe he was a bit rusty not having played last week.
Maybe that's what happens when you rest players we you dont need to.12 -
Perhaps if you spent the last few months with repeated injuries while trying to get match fit, and reading comments about how useless you are by so called fans, you may not be too excited about celebrating with themgmantaxi said:Just got in from a cracking away day , proper old school that ,could have gone either way , but feel Mcgrandles has some neck for refusing to celebrate and cupping his ear when he hasn’t done a stroke since he signed for us .30 -

Players aren't dumb. They hear the grumbles, they have social media, their teammates have social media, their friends have social media. I'm sure some know about this board. If there is a widespread opinion of them amongst the fan base, particularly if it's negative, they're probably going to know it.gmantaxi said:ross1 said:

I've got no time for it. Same as Jack Payne and Fraser away at MK Dons last season.ross1 said:

Bad attitudes run through this squad in my opinion and tbh we're still massively underperforming - 11th in league one, 5 points off 6th and 13 off top 2.

Also, I agree we're underachieving, but if you take out the Holden era, we're in playoff form. Appleton is 1.73 ppg since coming in, which would have us just behind Peterborough. There were injuries to start the season, and some of the transfers came in late (which always happens), but it should now also be clear that Holden was holdin' this team back.3 -
Shocking. Alfie raised his foot to block a clearance and he drops to the floor clutching his face. Ref and lino had turned their back and didn’t have a clue what happenedWhenIwasLittleBoy said:Keeper mugged himself right off dropping to the ground..laughable0 -

Coming into the season there was a lot of talk about a "lack of leadership." I never really buy that we know what leadership is like from watching matches, I think that's something where you have to be in the dressing room and on the training ground to know who the real leaders are, and that it's not just the pointy shouty CB or the midfielder who puts in a reducer. As such, I've been so impressed with Louie Watson giving pre match talks in the huddle, at Alfie May going over and hugging Camara when he was down and just in general at May's attitude, Hector seems like a consummate pro who Karoy Anderson praised when they were on international duty with Jamaica, and obviously Dobbo just never hides.
I'm sure there are more who we don't see on matchdays, and I'm sure that the things I've observed on the pitch this season aren't indicative of what all the players are like, but I really liked this moment of Hector pushing McGrandles to go and celebrate in front of the fans. McGrandles has barely played for us, so it must feel weird for him. But it's worth remembering when we got him in 18 months ago he came with a really good reputation and seemed like a highly sought after free agent at this level. We need a little more solidity in midfield, it'd be excellent if he provides that.22 -
So basically not allowed to criticise then ?SDAddick said:

He earned us a point by scoring a goal. Why bother criticising because he didn’t celebrate to your expectations? Just be happy he scored and we gained a point away from home.gmantaxi said:

Cracking day, will Comment properly tomorrow but why for the online viewers should AMB have been sent off for the pen?0

The assist by Louie Watson today was a fantastic pass. Inch perfect and cut out 2 defenders to allow Alfie the chance to score.Same is true for Edun's cross for the second goal. Thought he had a good game as well.

Some people shitting on McGrandles for no reason here. That was a well aimed header.18

Definitely not. Surprised he didn't get a yellow though. Apart from that he was magnificent today. Probably the best goalkeeping performance I've seen from a Charlton keeper in recent years.AFKABartram said:Cracking day, will Comment properly tomorrow but why for the online viewers should AMB have been sent off for the pen?1 -
Both goals were well taken BUT if it were a Charlton keeper letting two in at the near post like that he'd get an absolute mauling on here. Once is bad luck but twice is poor, for all the goals were aimed well.Dazzler21 said:Some people shitting on McGrandles for no reason here. That was a well aimed header.8
