Before the season started I was optimistic we could get top6, now I am about 99% sure we won't be near the plays offs. Mid table at best and probably another season wasted.
From what started out as a positive transfer window has ended very shoddy, we are about on par with last season squad depth and strength wise. It wasn't good enough then, it won't be now.
Already thinking about the teams I wouldn't mind coming up from League 2 for an away day and Championship to come down2 -
The confusing thing is why they can't share it with the wider community.
What's it going to jeopardise?
The new owners are already in, so who's going to get in trouble for sharing it, what's the big secret?

I've said time and again I respect what Airman did for the club, but I cannot hide the fact that I think people have wanted to besmirch this ownership group before they got in the door, and having close links to rival bids for the club, leads me to question the motives.9 -

I've said time and again I respect what Airman did for the club, but I cannot hide the fact that I think people have wanted to besmirch this ownership group before they got in the door, and having close links to rival bids for the club, leads me to question the motives.3 -
I am always surprised that so many fans are able to look at some stats, compare that to the age of the player and be able to judge the quality of a player. To be able to do this having never seen the player in question even kick a ball! It really is astonishing. How they get an insight to the character of the individual is also a mystery. Maybe they can see shadows in a photograph, or is it all in the eyes?
It is surprising that Clubs don’t employ them instead of wasting time and money on scouts and employing professional and experienced football people to do the job.

I don't doubt it's existence, I do doubt that it actually constitutes a working plan. As nothing that has been shared from it has come true and most if it would be impossible anyway.4 -

I've a feeling a few on here are annoyed that the Club has done as much business as it has today having predicted little would happen. They're clearly unimpressed by what come through the door.
I only hope the incomings they're writing off don't turn out to be the flops they expect them to be. And I also hope that if they work out well, that they'll actually be pleased about that.
Being proved right or wrong isn't something that personally bothers me overly much, but the fortunes of Charlton in winning games of football does.
This window hasn't got me thinking we're about to enter the promotion mix and I said earlier we still lack leaders, but if anyone is thinking of protesting on the back of it, good luck with that. I won't be.
