We aren't going down with or without Bonne , a waste of time if we have any ambition at any point to leave this league in the right direction1

Kane. They mentioned the RB signing last night after the game, so they got that one right.Valley11 said:1 -

Hopefully Tayo Edun is still coming in? Out of the 3 he is the best signing by far so will be a bit disappointed if we don’t get him7

Half fit Stockley
65 of Kanu
25 of Aneke
anyone but fucking Bonne and if that means playing with ten or no striker I’ll take it3 -

I welcome these moves as long they don't mean any key player is leaving. Both Bonne and Kane have a six month window to earn a contract.
In squad terms I see Kane as a replacement for Egbo as Manny has a season ending injury.Adding Edun would mean that we have three fit specialised full back options plus Clare as a utility defender/ midfielder.
I would still like a couple of others so that we can build a squad ready to kick on next season.0 -
fair enough - bowyer saw enough in him to pay money for him and play him and qpr saw enough to pay £2m - whilst i don't think he was worth what we sold him for, he's far from useless - game of opinions of course8

Todd Arthur Lucien Kane (born 17 September 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays for Coventry City in the Championship.golfaddick said:How about Kane coming in so we can sell someone....Lavelle ? Ness ??
He plays primarily as a right back, but can also play at right midfielder or left back.
He is also eligible to represent Scotland.
Well, that's what Wiki says.

And the Blackburn lad? Thought he’d come in as LB with Sess switching to RB leaving Kane as the spare.19addickted96 said:
so RB/LB & possibly RM?charlton_hero said:Kane can, and has played LB too.
presumably we stick him LB and get sess to play natural RB0 -
According to an ardent gillingham fan I sometimes work with he reckons gillingham are in for macgillivray jaiyesimi and stockley but stockley has an offer in Australia but Gillingham has put in the better offer. How true this is will pan out in the next fortnight.0

Australia or Gillingham is an interesting choice. Don't think he'll be able to drive to Australia from his current house though.Davo53 said:According to an ardent gillingham fan I sometimes work with he reckons gillingham are in for macgillivray jaiyesimi and stockley but stockley has an offer in Australia but Gillingham has put in the better offer. It can’t be Bonne for Stockley and no other strikers.
We’re already short with Stockley.It’s going to be thought isn’t it…?1 -
I think that if Gillingham pull off Mansfield, Stockley and Mac, that could all but seal National League football

Like the Kane and Edun signings , gives us options in positions we really needed options. Would expect Sess and Edun to be the main starting fullbacks and Kane rotates in for Sess as he's had a few injuries.
Not convinced at all by Bonne.0 -

We are building a squad of players that will be out of contract at the end of the season. By the end of the window we will probably have about eight players contracted for next season and one might be Stockley who we don’t really want. In the summer we could need another massive recruitment drive and maybe, hopefully not though, looking for a new manager. Not any long term planning going on.Richard J said:

Unfortunately that's probably currently because no-one currently knows who is going to be running the show/footing the bills in the summer. Methven and Co? Sandgaard? A.N. Other?LargeAddick said:

Its not a great situation but not one the actual hands on side of scouting/recruitment are to blame for or able to change. Its purely makeshift and make-do and that's what they have to work with.4 -

dded to the fact that most of the players we've paid money for and brought in on longer deals, are the one's we're trying to get rid of !!!thenewbie said:

Where is this coming from that Bonne is signing a six-month contract? Hard to see that happeningRichard J said:

Have I missed something? Why are people talking about Bonne only getting a contract until the end of the season.
Surely he has better options than that.
I reckon he will get something longer personally.
Hopefully Bonne isn’t going to take 10 games to get match fit.0 -
The problem is we are only another 2-3 key injuries away from slipping back into crisis mode, because the squad we’ve got is a ticking time bomb (tick tock) if everyone’s fit and in form it’s all right, but the squad has a few injury prone players, and a few players who are lightweight and bang out of form.
Ive no idea whether the players we are being linked with are injury prone or bang out of form.
Given our recruitment in the summer was shambolic, what’s changed?1
