Thanks, but won't work for me as Youtube. I'll see if I can at least get a radio commentary

Roy and Amla is a pretty formidable opening partnership to deal with when bowling isn't our strong point!

We need to slow them down somehow....

If you can get on FB at work then surrey are showing it live on there. You do have to like the surrey cricket page though!

With Jacks and Evans to follow who have been in exceptional form this season.

The firewall blocks youtube; wherever I try and pick it up from as I refuse to like their page, lol! Don't think I could use a VPN to circumvent it
  • Its on BBC Radio Kent and BBC London dab radio.

80 for 0 after 10. Given we are none down I would say we are probably 10 below where we would want to be

My guess is we will make around 175.

Kent would take that at this stage!

It's about the central contract, not the run-out ;)

It just disappoints me and sets such a poor example.

Sky are showing the last quarter final between Notts and Leics, ko 6pm.

This afternoon they're too pre-occupied with the IPL circus to bother with our domestic comp.

Though Saggers being the umpire who turned it down might be the reason for it. Familiarity and contempt!

    Yes I know.
    But I think it's wrong.

But when there is a clash Sky Sports Mix shows the IPL so that still doesn't explain it

Of course it's wrong, both Sky's decision to prioritise the IPL over our national competition and the IPL in general.

I've never warmed to the IPL and have happily steered well away from it for many years.
  • Meanwhile ...

Slurrey Brownshorts are 141-2 after 17ovs.

With three overs left in the innings and eight wickets in hand I suppose Slurrey must be targeting a score in excess of 145 ...

    ;)

Talking about dissent at umpires, a good few years ago a former CL poster who now owns a micro pub, once borrowed my son's bat and stormed the pitch at Canterbury when the game was abandoned against Warwickshire due to one floodlight failing He wanted to remonstrate at the Umpires' decision and to prove that the light was perfectly OK. To be fair, he did face a ball from one of the Warwickshire players without any protection whatsoever and hit it for four too.

Playing in the Warwickshire side that night was 6' 8'' fast bowler Boyd Rankin. Fortunately, it wasn't him that bowled that ball. It was a Laurie Evans grenade. We were quite worried when he got escorted off the ground by the stewards more so because we feared that my son might not see his bat again!

He wouldn't dare if only because he knows what would be waiting for him when he got off the pitch!!!
