This is just what I want to see in the run up to the deadline to lift my spirits3 -

bloody hell, he's been around a bit but settles nowhere, doesn't fill me with much hope ..

Lyle Taylor has played for roughly the same amount of clubs.LargeAddick said:bloody hell, he's been around a bit but settles nowhere, doesn't fill me with much hope ..
He didn't turn out too bad.3 -

Think it's just a stop-gap until the end of the season, but he does possess quality and easily good enough for us on his day.LargeAddick said:bloody hell, he's been around a bit but settles nowhere, doesn't fill me with much hope ..

Not knowledgeable of his current ability, but Bostock (in my head) sounds like a 'we've exhausted all other avenues' call.

He's played 98 minutes this season and 26 minutes of those were at The Valley. 26.53% of his minutes were on the hallowed turf. Safe to say we are all experts on him and he's going to be brilliant.LargeAddick said:bloody hell, he's been around a bit but settles nowhere, doesn't fill me with much hope ..

No movement on Jonson Clarke-Harris. Trained as normal at #BristolRovers today and club says no official bids for him. At present, Kyle Bennett is also staying.- BBC journalist

This is exactly it - and I was kinda hoping (and that's all it was - hope) that a takeover would mean we have the financial clout to force the issue a bit more.AFKABartram said:Not knowledgeable of his current ability, but Bostock (in my head) sounds like a 'we've exhausted all other avenues' call.
As I said - McGeady and Bostock feel worse than the signings we were making under Roland last two windows. People say it wasnt Roland it was Gallen..... Gallen is still here and still the capable guy we know he is.0 -

But we were linked with him very early in the transfer window as well weren't we? Which would suggest it's not just a plan z purchase.AFKABartram said:Not knowledgeable of his current ability, but Bostock (in my head) sounds like a 'we've exhausted all other avenues' call.5 -

Quite possibly but on deadline day you're usually either overpaying for a player or you're getting a player that his current club doesn't want.AFKABartram said:Not knowledgeable of his current ability, but Bostock (in my head) sounds like a 'we've exhausted all other avenues' call.
The only good deals will be for players who are out of contract in the summer and their clubs are cashing in last minute.
However if Pratley, Cullen, Field and Williams are all fit then that's a solid midfield anyway.2 -

The sad truth is we were never going to replace Gallagher in this window, if Bostock signs then he will be a 2nd or 3rd choice, after Maddison and another potential player that didn't get accepted.DamoNorthStand said:
Roland would have been castigated for this window.MartinCAFC said:
How many more players do you feel we need? In addition to McGeady only as not seen Bostock announced?DamoNorthStand said:I was (still am) really hoping we would take a no risk approach to relegation and just completely take it out the equation by going hard at the window....
Still time - but McGeady and Bostock...... we need to do so much more.
I think we are looking at the right positions (couple midfielders and a striker is what I want).
numbers are fine - it’s the quality that isn’t.
JCH would be someone who would be good but only if Taylor stays
The boy wonder from a decade ago would get 100% support from me despite being a last day rescue act.2 -

If he has been seen leaving the ground, he's probably:
A - Negotiating a Contract.
B - Training in the Gym. Finishing AM training
C - Saying goodbye and collecting his stuff from the training ground.0 -
He is not even worth quoting/posting.
