Bowyer mentioned in his press conference that Lyle was still in discussion with the club and it was not just a money thing and he wanted other assurances. I assume that is ambition to get into the premiership.
With that in mind maybe if we show intent in this window Lyle might sign?
No disrespect to Lyle but by the time Charlton are PL again Lyle will be well past playing there. That’s best case scenario too.
It’s his first transfer window and this is a dream job for him. He’s more active in social media than I will ever be and that can create a buzz but it can also go sour very quickly because in the end it’s the results and actions that matter bit the number of immediate likes.

funny enough i've only seen 2 football shirts here - one was millwall at the airport and the other was charlton - on the beach but at the time i was scrambling about trying to find my sunglasses that i'd left somewhere near the sea so didn't say hello - its an omen although i'm not sure what it means
