You are so sensitive. It is Plumb by the way, not Plum. He was an ex Charlton player. I have a lot of time for Carly Burn, she always tells it how it is. While I am here I would like to say that I overdid the criticism of you on here and NOT606. I do not know you and my comments went too far.JamesSeed said:

Looking forward to seeing it re-posted on another forum, with a hilarious comment from dick plum or carly burn next to it ;-)
I will not post any of your posts on that other forum in future.

This thread has driven me to search for the term scrote, which I had only previously heard in Back to the Future Part II. There appear to be daily scrote references these days.11

They had better hurry. My mate who knows someone in the ticket office has told me that the deadline to renew and guarantee that you can keep your seat (the one you own, that belongs to you) has passed and there are only a handful left. She says a lot of people will be very disappointed when they realise. Anyway, don't blame me, just passing on what I was told. Personally I hope it's not true because I haven't had one for two years and was hoping my seat was still available.Alwaysneil said:Where is everyone buying a season ticket when the takeover is announced and will the system crash, that’s what I want to know.
Firstly you don't "own" a seat in the ground, you simply pay for the use of one on an annual basis & the club "hold" it for you for a certain period of time before that start of a new season.
Seeing as season ticket sales are falling year by year & the only people currently now buying a season ticket will be buying their "regular" seat then I have no idea where all this extra demand for "soon to be unreserved" seats will be coming from. Any previous ST holders are most likely to be hardened "stay awayers" and will not be buying until a new owner is in place, if at all.
Rest assured.....come August you will be able to buy your old seat again.7 -
Quite proud that I used the term 'scrote'. My hate for Roland has infiltrated my vocabulary.CAFCTrev said:This thread has driven me to search for the term scrote, which I had only previously heard in Back to the Future Part II. There appear to be daily scrote references these days.

I know it was Plumb btw. It was just my poor attempt at hilarity.
A lot of the online nastiness is caused by attempts at humour being misconstrued by people, and a lot could be solved by face to face meetings over a beer - but the opportunities are few and far between.
There are some people spreading lies about me on other forums, which has been quite upsetting. Does that make me over sensitive?
I was accused of being a 60 year old lifelong Millwall fan trying to cash in on the family name by lying (my beer meeting) in order to get people to read my clickbaity blog. That's deeply personal, and a hell of an accusation. Probably libellous. No one who knows me would say that's true. But some people read that stuff and believe it, and then pop onto CL to have a dig at me, as if they were a bit of a hero entering the lion's den (irony), and then report back to the forum they came from.
I've never had any ads on the blog, and I was a fan of Millwall between the ages of six and nine until Jimmy Seed died and I stopped going. Lost interest in football until the 80s. The reasons for my return are personal and family related, and it just happened.
Happy to explain further, but not here.

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

If you had disrespected my raffle then i would have found that unforgiveable, though i don't remember organising a raffle. I don't really like your banter, I'm told you are here for a wind up and I can confirm you are doing a very good job at it.DOUCHER said:

What have I reported that's been wrong btw? The Aussies thought end of May, but they also said they're patient.
They also said they have money, and you or NLA haven't proved that they haven't.
Your mate saying he thinks they haven't isn't proof.

Any chance everyone can stop finger pointing about whose right and whose wrong? Didn't realise there was a prize at the end for who was most right.
Feel sorry for those who try and help everyone out by providing news on how things are progressing, which we are all desperate for, only to suffer abuse and slander if what they are told by someone else isn't 1000% bang on.15 -

Assuming they did nothing before the Bank Holiday today is day 9 since the EFL have been looking at the deal.
Considering we are being told by those "in the know" that RD & the buyer have not reached a firm agreement and that a price has not been agreed I am not sure what the EFL are doing?

lets just draw a line under all the digging and sniping please. Its starting to get a bit painful to read. I'm grateful to anyone who posts either their own thoughts or what they have been told.
If someone posts something you don't agree with, or think is incorrect, then debate it. In a civil fashion. It really isn't that difficult.
If you can't do that however, then just read and don't respond44 -

I find it sad that some have questioned your loyalty to Charlton based on the fact that your grandfather was a board member at Millwall and took you there when you were young.
Its a shame Charlton hadn't shown him the respect he deserved during his lifetime.
Can everyone just respect each other? We all want a positive outcome.17 -

I’m thinking of starting an Amnesty Thread similar to an Amnesty Bin (to combat knife crime)
All nasty digs can go on there and cleanse the takeover thread2 -

It's an irregular plural.4 -
From what I can see there must be some party putting out false (or at least partially false) information.
We have multiple sources saying paperwork is with the EFL
We have 1 or more sources saying no deal has been done.
The two are mutually exclusive, unless the second source simply means final contracts haven't been signed.
The idea that the Aussies don't have the money doesn't hold much water. They've spent over a million pounds so far and taken over a year to get to this point. Assuming they're not insane then they simply must have the money or would have walked away by now.
The season ticket news plus Muir being back in the country and paperwork already with EFL would point to a 11th June announcement. Either that will happen, or RD is seriously screwing with the Aussies and still hoping someone will gazump them, using whatever channels he has available to send out the "no deal done" message.8 -
