Addicks Brand replica shirt for next season
Here is the original post. If there is enough interest, I'd be happy to do the research and help make it happen. Over to you. I know we have some very creative kit designer guys here, so maybe this will take off.
Just bunging out some ideas, didnt know where would be appropriate so here they are.
1. One thing that stood out for me in all the coverage was the black and white scarfs.....I think when we finally get a decent new owner we should propose that all future away kits should be black and white as a tribute to the fans for fighting this ridiculous regime.
2. It Might also be a good idea to get some replica kits made up of our own for next season in Black and white stripes to aid the boycotting of sales in the club shop. Might be a decent take up and a collectors item for the future.

I was thinking about that too Tel. Ribeiro are still in business and I was thinking it'd be great if they could do a reproduction of the BTTV shirt.3

This was the Newcastle protest shirt. I would definitely buy an Addicks version.2 -
Great idea .... I'd buy one and boycott the club shop product.0

If there was a replica of the best Charlton home shirt ever (early 80's Addidas 'FADS' shirt) using exact same lettering style and size as on the original for 'FADS'.............BUT instead of FADS it says 'FANS' - then that would look very cool
If it was Addidas as well even better33 -
I'm in.0

Sorry - was up early this morning !!!1 -
I always thought that was a Bukta shirt, (fads), originally then changed to Adidas.Lordflashheart said:If there was a replica of the best Charlton home shirt ever (early 80's Addidas 'FADS' shirt) using exact same lettering style and size as on the original for 'FADS'.............BUT instead of FADS it says 'FANS' - then that would look very cool

A great idea, but I'm concerned about the impact on FADS. Any loss of business for them could lead to job losses... er....Lordflashheart said:If there was a replica of the best Charlton home shirt ever (early 80's Addidas 'FADS' shirt) using exact same lettering style and size as on the original for 'FADS'.............BUT instead of FADS it says 'FANS' - then that would look very cool

I haven't bought a shirt in a while as the higher prices just seem like a rip off, but this one sounds like a good investment so count me in.
Just try not to make it too "Newcastle lite", maybe thicker and fewer stripes.4 -

Also I always associate the Adidas kit with Simonson and standing on East Terrace with my dad watching with awe at his ability - happy days........4 -
Why not create a replica of the FA Cup Final shirt seeing thats where the B&W came from7

Would I be right in assuming we can't put CAFC etc. on it as the club has copyright on the name? I'd guess we could use Addicks, though, couldn't we?0

How about incorporating CARD into the name/crest?AddicksAddict said:Would I be right in assuming we can't put CAFC etc. on it as the club has copyright on the name? I'd guess we could use Addicks, though, couldn't we?

The club just pick from Nike's catalogue of shirts don't they? Couldn't we just choose the same one and then splash the CARD logo across the middle of it?0
-
Why does it need a name across the front ? the best Charlton shirt of 'modern times' was the one that was available when we went back to the valley and we didn't have a shirt sponsor.1
-
Not copyright but possible trademark issue. As long as it wasn't offensive ie replica FADS or the FANS idea would the club be petty enough to pursue it? Damn right they would - can't see them passing up another 'own goal' like that ;-)
'47 shirts no issue as they didn't have a badge?

How about something like this yet instead of yellow... use the white instead?
Kit is from the current Nike Catalogue0 -

Great idea, will be more than happy to buy one.0

Not sure about the copyright. Would mean we'd be suing Crewe Alexandra every week. On that basis, suspect we'd be ok.AddicksAddict said:Would I be right in assuming we can't put CAFC etc. on it as the club has copyright on the name? I'd guess we could use Addicks, though, couldn't we?

I'm game, really want to buy the fads replicas but I can't put money in Roland's pocket0

Third one is the best one...randy andy said:1 -
I like all of those, especially the white ones, however the middle one is similar to the training top last season and therefore could be a winner. However I think we should wait and see what the club unveil as the home kit and then see is we can do a black/white version.randy andy said:0 -
Nike kit
An old (potentially modified) badge with no lettering
No sponsor on it
I'm in. Great idea.0 -
It could have CARD as a sponsor although that may upset a few.Leeds_Addick said:Nike kit
