I see this idea as an 'alternative' product choice for supporters to wear who do not want to buy from the club but still support Charlton.
To that end I think this idea differs from the other CARD merchandise items. The 'protestor' objective will already have been achieved by the act of the 'customer' buying it over the club offering. After all there are plenty of other CARD items now available for fans to display their support of said Coalition.
So I maintain a preference for traditional red and as close to an official club offering, past or present, as possible, just better and competitive on price.
The official kit is only from the Nike pub team catalogue, so once next year's kit has been chosen, you could just buy the plain vanilla shirt and add a logo of your choice?
I had a thought... What about designing and selling alternative jerseys for next season? So instead of spending money on a replica jersey; CARD could produce and sell their own red and white alternative. This would raise protest funds and divert some money away from the club...
thoughts?
Expensive and ties up money in stock which may or may not be sold.
If someone wants to donate to CARD they can anyway.
Also lots of issues around copyright, VAT, licences to sell, time, storage, postage, trolls

Ha ha ha typical
If you use a third party they can do all the work including postage and it'll still be £10-15 cheaper than an official replica shirt.
the less you put on the shirt the cheaper it is. Just put some kind of badge on, the card logo is multicoloured and will bump the price up.Remember with these being catalogue kits they have a shelf life and are depentdent on stock availability.Sometime I have gone to order Nike kit for my customers and it is out of stock for a couple of months.
Ok, I have had some further thoughts. We can easily produce a shirt with no sponsors logo. Then we can get the shirts overprinted by dye subliminal printing with whatever sponsor you want...i.e. the Card logo...Charlton Life...whatever, or simply nothing at all. We must come up with a crest of some sort.....something with the sword in it would be a great starting point but we also need to make it signify our united resolve against the regime.
The other thought whirling around in my head at the moment is we could approach a company (someone like that fitness drinks brand) to actually sponsor us. Just a maybe.
Like I said Im just chucking the ideas out their.
If we have difficulties regarding the functionality of producing the shirts, Im sure we can circumnavigate these. I wont say here how but happy to discuss the possibilities in private. I also have ideas regarding distribution and storage.
I wonder if Rick has any useful information regarding actual sales numbers? It might be useful.
In terms of the badge how about the one that Henry Irving found in the Museum or if people feel its too much like Birmingham City or Glasgow Rangers how about the old clover leaf?

Only problem is that will increase the divide.
I will 100% get one either way.
Great idea.

I personally want a red shirt as that's OUR colour. You could incorporate a small black and white something somewhere if needed?!
No CARD logo or anything else on it. I just don't want to be buying a shirt that reminds me of the crap times we're having at the moment.
The fact that there'll be thousands of this one sold compared to the actual team shirt is 'job done' in my opinion.
kit on the right
Love the Leeds kit and would be great if Charlton wore something like it in red next season.
