Brilliant idea. Always thought Valiants was more appropriate considering our fans history of standing up for themselves and for what is right. I don't know if we're allowed to use just the sword but we could have Valiants above it and Est. 2016 below. Maybe? As for colour, red is our colour but maybe some black and white trim?
I raised a couple of ideas on another thread but thought maybe a thread of its own might raise some interest. The second point is more relevant and as someone on the other thread pointed out, Newcastle did something similiar, using the city coat of arms and deleting the Wonga advertising on their replica shirts.
Here is the original post. If there is enough interest, I'd be happy to do the research and help make it happen. Over to you. I know we have some very creative kit designer guys here, so maybe this will take off.
Just bunging out some ideas, didnt know where would be appropriate so here they are.
1. One thing that stood out for me in all the coverage was the black and white scarfs.....I think when we finally get a decent new owner we should propose that all future away kits should be black and white as a tribute to the fans for fighting this ridiculous regime.
2. It Might also be a good idea to get some replica kits made up of our own for next season in Black and white stripes to aid the boycotting of sales in the club shop. Might be a decent take up and a collectors item for the future.
I think it's an excellent idea, I wouldn't go black and white stripes though as too much like Newcastle I would go for a design matching or current kit but use black to replace all the red, with the sponser being replaced by C.A.R.D on the front instead of UoG. I would buy one pretty sure most would. They could be made to order to save on costs?
Nike kit An old (potentially modified) badge with no lettering No sponsor on it
I'm in. Great idea.
It could have CARD as a sponsor although that may upset a few.
Imo I think it would sell better without the CARD logo emblazoned across the front of it. People who want to show support for CARD, like myself, will buy CARD merchandise. But this kit I think has to be made as nice looking as possible and having rolands face across the front of it isn't the way to do that,
Great idea. I wanted a new club shirt this season but because of my reluctance to back the regime financially I haven't bought one. Would go for an unofficial replica one next season for sure though. I have every confidence that those creating it will deliver an excellent product.
I like all of those, especially the white ones, however the middle one is similar to the training top last season and therefore could be a winner. However I think we should wait and see what the club unveil as the home kit and then see is we can do a black/white version.
Forget the club, this should just be out in motion. Personally I'd prefer a older style shirt... But look forward to seeing what comes up. Maybe we could have a voting system to choose the final design ?
Think this is a great idea and would buy one almost certainly, well... as long as it doesn't look horrible. Personal opinion is not to have the CARD sponsor, the FADS/FANS thing would be cool.
Love the idea that one day with new owners we get a black & white away kit...

I'd definitely buy one.
Just so you all know the sword on it's own isn't copyrighted. I had this challenge when I created thetopofthetops spread-shirt shop and I won as there's no copyright on a hand with a sword.
Think a couple of people on here bought my hoodies? Were they decent quality? My t-shirts I ordered were nice.
P.S It should definitely be C.A.R.D, not FANS otherwise the message will probably be lost.
probably getting a bit ahead of myself but it'd be nice to have children s shirts as well, possibly with "PROTECTING MY FUTURE" or something similar on them.
I too like the idea of it being primarily red and based on the old Adidas FADS one with 'FANS' in place of FADS. Would not recommend deploying the CARD logo on this shirt though. That said I expect that most of the buyers, myself included, will be from the ranks of CARD supporters, so it probably wouldn't matter too much if it did.

I see this idea as an 'alternative' product choice for supporters to wear who do not want to buy from the club but still support Charlton.
To that end I think this idea differs from the other CARD merchandise items. The 'protestor' objective will already have been achieved by the act of the 'customer' buying it over the club offering. After all there are plenty of other CARD items now available for fans to display their support of said Coalition.
So I maintain a preference for traditional red and as close to an official club offering, past or present, as possible, just better and competitive on price.

Any idea for a name/number on the back?
(Even though I know he came in later that same season)

Could definitely be picked up cheaply as is old 'Team Wear'
These are also available:
Just the initials C.A.R.D
