Ok, I have had some further thoughts. We can easily produce a shirt with no sponsors logo. Then we can get the shirts overprinted by dye subliminal printing with whatever sponsor you want...i.e. the Card logo...Charlton Life...whatever, or simply nothing at all. We must come up with a crest of some sort.....something with the sword in it would be a great starting point but we also need to make it signify our united resolve against the regime.
The other thought whirling around in my head at the moment is we could approach a company (someone like that fitness drinks brand) to actually sponsor us. Just a maybe.
Like I said Im just chucking the ideas out their.
If we have difficulties regarding the functionality of producing the shirts, Im sure we can circumnavigate these. I wont say here how but happy to discuss the possibilities in private. I also have ideas regarding distribution and storage.
I wonder if Rick has any useful information regarding actual sales numbers? It might be useful.
I'm one of those of the opinion an alternative shirt should be red (it would sell more too imho) and agree the impact will be if it outsells the official one.
I'd go something like this with the sword crest:
Not necessarily Umbro but just simple and classic, the 'no sponsor' look.
Can imagine a lot wearing that and the black and white scarves.
If there was a replica of the best Charlton home shirt ever (early 80's Addidas 'FADS' shirt) using exact same lettering style and size as on the original for 'FADS'.............BUT instead of FADS it says 'FANS' - then that would look very cool
If it was Addidas as well even better
I always thought that was a Bukta shirt, (fads), originally then changed to Adidas.
Excellent idea. Would fully get behind this. Everyone's going to have different opinions though on type, colours, emblems etc so going to have to come down to a few taking charge and making the design decision......
Or maybe it's time for a survey. We've not had one for a while.
Wait to see who the official kit maker is for next season and then go with their closest market rival.
If Nike are our official kit supplier and we're all wearing adidas shirts then we will also have Nike turning the screw on RD.
This is a great idea.
Also thinks this is a great idea! The official shirt would sell better but with logos such as CARD / CAFC Trust etc - perhaps get a naffed off sponser to switch and sponser the protest shirt instead to raise funds to help produce!

It was Osca wasn't it?
Definitely adidas before Osca. There were both adidas and Osca pinstriped shirts though

Feckin' supermodels all over this forum these days....
Been chatting with Tel, we will take the investigations forward but definitely at this early stage looks like a runner. We'll take some of the planning / questions to address offline, so if anyone has any links / skills / something to offer, and keen to be included give me a shout and I will add you to a group. Will update this thread later this week when we've a bit more organised.
This is a great idea. My son has already been pestering me about next years kit and it would have been a tough decision as I'm currently refusing to buy anything from the club. I'd happily buy a few for him and my nieces.
PWR so probably already been suggested but I guess this is also an ideal opportunity to raise extra funds for CARD or upbeats.

Time to go and drown my sorrows in kebab sauce which, as we all know, makes everything better....

Isn't Germany quite close to Belgium ?
An U21 player, someone from the current squad or our marque signing
Note that we should find someone from the squad we dont like as from those who modeled this seasons kit, only Cousins is left.
Solly / Jackson / Vetokele / Bauer injured
Ba / Makienok are both out of favour
Watt has left the club
