maybe Powell was thrown under a bus #RDsmuscle1

Yes there is. Him undermining Powell eventually leading to his sacking. So confused how that is cryptic. 'Being thrown under a bus' is not exactly a completely new expression.WestCountryAddick said:
And the 'thrown under a bus' part? There is nothing obvious about that at all.Addickforlife said:
Struggling to understand how that is cryptic. Seems perfectly obvious to me what Jimmy is telling us.WestCountryAddick said:
But what is he passing on? The 'thrown under a bus' business just throws up more questions, as does the 'Duchatelet doesn't care about winning' tweet. These things do not tell us anything at all. I would encourage any kind of information sharing, but why does he have to be so cryptic?Addickforlife said:
Why? Jimmy tweeted some of his (well informed) thoughts last week. Now some new information has come to him and he has tweeted it as well.nth london addick said:the message is right the delivery flawed
Don't really understand all the shooting the messenger, conspiracy theories about how he delivers the message etc.
Seems very simple to me. Jimmy is a Charlton fan that used to work for the club. Like many of us, he doesn't like what is going on at the club. Unlike many of us, he actually has seen a lot of what we don't like at first hand, and is now he does not work for the club, is passing that info on.
-This psychologist joined the club as another trusted advisor to RD, he obviously reported back to RD about Powell which only helped further undermine Powell eventually leading to his sacking.
-Said psychologist is now back at the club.0 -
Powell was thrown under a bus, Peeters tried to park one and Luzon can't even drive one. That's my summary.28
-
Id rather read a tweet saying 'The Sports Psychologist that arrived last year and soon results improved & we stayed up, has returned to the club'
1 -
And RD is merely the bus conductor. The Red Robin said:Powell was thrown under a bus, Peeters tried to park one and Luzon can't even drive one. That's my summary.
"Fares please"

Come on lets not be niave, yes I would rather hear it, I want to understand the facts to aid me in my decision making and yes the message should come out as there is a communication back out, but let's not think this isn't being drip fed to raise feeling counteract any thing that detracts from the popular message,
It has drawn questioning of the motives from some who feel the RD model is flawed and needs addressing
It's enough now people get it, either say everything you want to say don't chuck tweets out every few days
Have some credibility about the marketing of the message it's so out of date in how to deliver the real message you want to say
Drip drip drip doesn't work anymore, full on factual impacting marketing campaigns work9 -
Who's this "marketing campaign" being allegedly run by NLA?
Can't it simply be a fan (who happened to be an ex-employee) wanting to use his past position to give info and facts?
Yet again, because it's our football club we attach a weird amount of emotion to things like this - we wouldn't bat an eyelid of stuff like this "coming out" in any other industry.7 -
I think you're blowing this out of proportion NLA. It's a 27 year old fan of the club who is sharing some info he has on the way the club is being run.2
-

Jimmy has found out this psychologist is back at the club. He has tweeted telling us that.
No motives, no marketing campaigns, no cryptic messages. Just sharing a bit of inside knowledge that the bloke has.5 -

why didn't it all come out the same time as the tweets two days earlier it's nonsense if it is not a style of marketing to raise the concern on RD then it's an attention seeking look at me tweet I'd rather think it's an ill timed I'll advised attempt on selling the Anti RD message than pull in to question the guys integrity
But I clearly am not alone in the questions of timing and why

It smacks of I know something that you don't and I am going to tease you with it. Why doesn't he have a word with Airman and put it, in its entirety, in the next VOTV.7

But that's true. He worked for the club so of course he knows stuff "we" don't.dickplumb said:It smacks of I know something that you don't and I am going to tease you with it. Why doesn't he have a word with Airman and put it, in its entirety, in the next VOTV.
I can't see how he has teased anything at all. What else is there to be said? He just presented a few facts/examples - I can't see any ambiguity/hidden messages at all.

Jimmy Stone's an awesome name.0
-
Jimmy is not proper Charlton, lets be clear on this.
If he was he would have used a train analogy, not a bus one
14 -
And he prob has an awesome story to tell that would carry fine weight In turning opinion of those who don't see the impending doom into being more aware,
Just wish it was said in a less self serving way1 -
He is very important2
-
I thought it may be clear enough why he didn't mention in his other tweets a few days earlier, but obviously not so here goes:nth london addick said:why didn't it all come out the same time as the tweets two days earlier it's nonsense if it is not a style of marketing to raise the concern on RD then it's an attention seeking look at me tweet I'd rather think it's an ill timed I'll advised attempt on selling the Anti RD message than pull in to question the guys integrity

Each to their own,
-Jimmy was not aware of this information (that the psychologist has re-joined the club) at the time of his other tweets.
-Now he is aware of said info, he has tweeted it.
It really is that simple. Genuinely baffled as to why people think he's being cryptic etc. He's just giving a few bits of inside info that he is aware of.4 -
Again, how is that a tease? 'Thrown under the bus' is a common phrase used when someone has been undermined. In this case, clearly this psychologist has told RD information on Powell that has undermined him and led to his eventual sacking.ValleyGary said:

Or I suppose he would have been employed there to make it up0 -
What happened last time this sports psychologist came on board4
-
We lost at Sheffield United?nth london addick said:What happened last time this sports psychologist came on board

That is something I have no idea about. To my knowledge he may have been at the club for just a week or he may have been the reason we stayed up.nth london addick said:What happened last time this sports psychologist came on board
I don't care about the merits of the psychologist. All i'm commenting on is the fact Jimmy has told us a psychologist who did not get on with Powell and a few others is now back at the club.
There will be some who think that means doom and gloom. There will be some who think it's a good thing. By the tone of his tweet, Jimmy is clearly thinks the former. Doesn't mean everyone has to think that.1 -
And then went on quite a successful period of results2

Thrown under the bus implies that the blokes a bit of a snake and was under-hand in his business.Addickforlife said:

Or...the bloke could have seen that CP's man management in the clubs current situation was not the way to go about it.
If the bloke stayed here under Riga then it COULD have contributed to our upturn in form and us remaining in this division, hence why he's been re-employed.

May well have done, and as mentioned above I am not, and have no intention of, commenting on the merits of the psychologist I know nothing about.ValleyGary said:

I have merely been trying to make people realise that Jimmy's tweet is just a tweet from a fan with some inside information, rather than some marketing campaign with cryptic tweets and conspiracy theories.0 -
I understand that mate, but my point is that unless you are going to say the full details it comes across as shit stirring, especially when re-employing the psychologist could have a positive effect on the team.Addickforlife said:

Some fans will read that tweet as if the bloke was one of the main reasons a club legend lost his job and he isn't welcome here.4 -
