SCP comments about everyone chasing the same players, and the ridiculous amount of Leon Bests wages (more evidence of Pardew's bad work) suggests that there is something of a bidding war going on for loanees. All the more reason why the nursery system makes sense in the long term. In the short term we badly need some bodies if only to deal with the fixture pile up.
  • Bolton are set to sign Cardiff forward Joe Mason on loan tomorrow.

They've had him since November... http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wanderers/wanderersnews/10838272._/?

I hope they are right for a change. When would they have to sign to play in the cup final .Maybe that is what they are all waiting for.

He was an England international not very long ago - and he knows where the goal is. Make it so I say.

So the people who write for sport mole read the Express. Do not think he will come here, he wants the sun in Miami.

But then again, so do I.

IF he is a Charlton fan and lives in Kent why haven't we got this Ter-Horst in on trial for a couple of weeks.

Typical Charlton wibble, wibble, blah, blah

If SWP signs = experienced England player who will give us something extra, top bloke as well as willing to come and battle against the drop.

If SWP doesn't sign = lazy footballer willing to sit on his backside and take his wages, typical over paid superstar.

Wouldn't mind SWP. Be good for us but not sure how up for it he would be. Will judge him after he played a few though. More likely to happen now qpr have signed morrison I would have thought.

won't happen before Saturday you can be sure of that. Can't play Monday either. IF he joins it won't be until Friday week to minimise the cost of his wages to us.

I think from Friday onwards any loan will cover the play offs. Smart thinking from Roland and CP

Something bound to be announced tomorrow with Roland's press conference (fingers firmly crossed).

I doubt any big signings will be announced at the Press Conference.

It has been planned weeks ahead, most likely for a time when RD is over in London rather than because of a big breaking story.

I hope we get some more insight and detail on the strategy long term and we might learn more about Powell's future given that CP will now be attending but personally am not expecting much else.

Could be wrong but if there was a player lined up and/or signed it would already have leaked to the press via his agent/family/selling club.

I know you are trying to be funny but yes we do.

Look how badly the exit strategy (or lack of same) left us under TJ and MS.

How, when and why he plans to get out is very important.
