about 80 goals in 360 career games so about 1 in 4.5. not as bad as I'd have though but still a no thanks from me. expected a bit more quality to be honest. #underwhelmed

if he can play on the wing and he's available now i don't really see the harm in it.

    Interesting. Not cup-tied.

not signed early enough for Monday, must have signed before match was originally scheduled to have been played

Double this, we need anyone who can do a decent job out wide and he's got alot of experience in this division which is something the Liege boys lack. So nothing to lose in his signing overall.
  • Was hoping for better :/

A wiser, older head is exactly what we need. He will be better on the wing than cousins. Good signing.

This is most unlike us signing a loan player?

Can't play vs Wednesday, hopefully he's signed in time for tomorrow.

True but to have him available for as many game as possible can't do harm.

    Forest fans wishing him well:

"Have to say how we can see fit to loan out Tudgay yet Derbyshire still finds his way into our bench is literally beyond me. #nffc"
"@tuggy777 Good luck Marcus. Always gave 110% when playing for us. Shame your not in the team more #nffc"
"@tuggy777 best of luck tuds always put 100% in for the cause always welcome back at #nffc"
"I like Tudgay, always have good luck to him! Will probably do well! #nffc #cafc"
"marcus tudgay good luck mate!! #NFFC"
"@tuggy777 Good luck , Get some games and goals and come back for the play offs #nffc"
"@tuggy777 Good Luck, hope you score some goals and come back in the form we know you're capable of! #nffc"

He's better than Church. An improvement on what we have so fine by me.

    Sounds like Church.
  • I suppose if it means Church is further away from the first team it's ok.

Funny if he ends up at Crewe now given our track record with loans under RD.
  • Maybe church going other way? They said forest were after him

well seems NFFC fans like the guy soooooo just a thought give him back and we will have Reidy instead,
  • Im pleased with that signing, assuming it happens, beggars can't be choosers and it gives us an experienced winger/striker at this level that will fight for the cause.

I heard that Church is going out on loan, I don't know how true that is.

I have heard there will definitely be more loan signings next week. They are trying very hard to bring people in. Don't know who though !

Thats two people that have said "i have heard" in the last 3 or so posts...without trying to pick a fight what exactly does that mean?

I agree that the positive comments from the Forest fans is a good sign. I would say this is a good signing. Typical Chris. He knows we are lacking a bit on the experience side up front so bringing in an old campaigner for the run in to help steady things when the going gets a bit rough makes sense. I can't see what's bad about it. Local lad as well so he'll probably be glad to be back down south.

but didn't have experience up front in Kermo

Kermo is gone, like it or not. We need to move on
  • So others get young Prem players, whilst we get a 32 year old who has barely played for two seasons, cast-off from Forest/ Barnsley. I think we are already preparing for League 1...
  • Tudgay is a very decent player at this level and is definitely better than what we have. Some people are never happy.

Sadly Weegie I have to agree with you

He's played in the East Midlands/South Yorkshire his whole career so would imagine his family are settled up there.

So you would rather untested youth from the prem when we already have a great youth system/players , what we need is experience I think , we have a very young team with potential .
