A win, is a win, is a win, Rome wasn't built in a day was it @Vincent survival is the target and if free flowing high scoring football is what you crave then I suggest you stop watching the team for a bit because it ain't gonna happen just yet. But you know that full well and with your dislike of CP or anything he does you are on one big wind up. Whatever floats your boat, I'm out.
Tudgay seems to be one of those players everyone's heard of but know little about.
We're not going to get a proven 20 goal striker on loan. All loans are a gamble in some form. It's either someone like Tudgay, experienced but not playing games, or a young Prem striker.
Perhaps bring in a pacey/skilful young winger, but I don't think we need another inexperienced player up front. Pleased to see we're bringing in a player that knows this league.
Tudgay a short term replacement for Kermorgant in terms of work rate and aerial presence to help assist Reza/Church/PP/Sordell rather then be the main goal threat not that any of them 4 are just yet. Proven championship player but how fit and ready is he? Does this mean no Becchio. We do need some pace and energy out wide now Koc might feature now and again but can't see him starting often we got a playmaker in Astrit and Poyet who can feed them the ball.
tudgay is better than church and sordell and if used on the wing is better than green! i have always thought id like him to sign for us and ive been impressed by seeing him for other clubs
A bit in the short side at 1.75m but lets face it we are desperate for a proper experienced Championship striker and he is a LOT better than anyone we have at present. Welcome Tudders.
Connor Wickham is going to become one of those players who is loaned out to every Championship club without really ever settling in one place.
Might become the next (English version) of Sam Vokes... Showed a lot of promise with Bournemouth so made the big move and then barely settled for a good number of years before finally getting a break at Burnley this year
The bad news is that Williams is out of our grasp now and SWP seems to want to move to the USA.With Sunderland still in the Cup I suspect that Connor Wickham might not have been potentially allowed to play for us to avoid being Cup tied if he is recalled.
The positive news is that if we will pay the whole of a player's wages then we might get someone decent in from the PL .As I posted on the other thread Williams was Cup tied ,so would not have been eligible to play at Bramall Lane.
Another player who would be eligible to play in the Cup might find us a more attractive proposition now we have a good chance in the Cup.For example it was reported that we were competing with Leeds and Middlesbrough for Luciano Becchio .
With Wickham going to Leeds I can't see them going for their former striker now.If we paid the Argentinian's full wages then I could see Becchio coming to the Valley because of the Cup run rather than seeing out the season with a mid table Boro.
I reckon the issue is players just dont want to be in a Relegation scrap
Shame because they're only on loan... Isnt like they'd automatically come down to League One with us, I would have thought it would be a good idea for a player to come experience that environment shows other Managers that they've got fight in them!!
Shame about Williams, great little player. Can't see why Palace would loan us anyone though. if it was the other way round i certainly would not want us helping them out when in a relgation fight just to save a few grand on our wages (if we were on the PL moneybelt).

Its because they are a big premier league team and we are only a small championship team,so there fans think
we matched Ipswich's offer to pay all of Williams salary
are you sure ??? 2 hours ago we couldn't afford to pay £1k per wk !!
It's not what you can afford, it's what you are willing to pay.
It's like people saying they can't afford £22 for a coach. But they'll likely be able to afford £75 for a semi final ticket at Wembley. (Know idea how much SF tickets are).

Another club still in the mix for #cpfc midfielder Owen Garvan. Doesn't sound like cut and dried to Millwall yet.
Surprised by this following his spat with Holloway when he was kept out of the 25 man squad, would love us to get him but he is another CM.
