  • Tudgay is a very decent player at this level and is definitely better than what we have. Some people are never happy.

this is the best answer on here, who are people expecting to come on loan in all honesty, people slated nguessen yet he came scored important goals, forest took him when looking for promotion yet some of you say he is not worth a team in trouble taking

  • I'm hoping to be proved very wrong on this one - come on, Marcus, show us what you've got!

I agree that the positive comments from the Forest fans is a good sign. I would say this is a good signing. Typical Chris. He knows we are lacking a bit on the experience side up front so bringing in an old campaigner for the run in to help steady things when the going gets a bit rough makes sense. I can't see what's bad about it. Local lad as well so he'll probably be glad to be back down south.

but didn't have experience up front in Kermo

We need to move on from Big Yann. Also, Tudgay is a different style of style of player to Yann so not really an apples to apples comparison. Anyhow, it is what it is if it happens and I view it as positive.
  • Must be better than spongefoot Church. I'm left wondering if we're going to see Piotr and Reza paired up front at all this season. I was excited when we signed Piotr and would love to see him given a chance ahead of Sordell and Church, at least.
  • Anyone writing this loan off already should take a trip down to beachy head. If you don't know where or what that is then please find out and make your way down there

    Totally unnecessary comment, mate.

  • Tudgay is alright IMO. Now for a winger.
  • Tudgay can play wide remember, he may not neccesarily be here to play up top
  • Not a bad signing if true. could be useful.
  • Quite happy with this!!!!!

  • can play wide right and up top hence why his goals to games ratio is not the best , Tudgay is a good solid signing

Goals to games 1 in 4.4 is not that bad what were you all expecting 1 in 1 and a bit a la Messi :0)
  • I'm not going to write him off before he's kicked a ball for us!
A relegation scrap may be exactly the challenge he's looking for, and regardless of that it at the very least gives CP one more option on who to play than he had before. Given that we have a few games in hand and a busy couple of weeks coming up this may be exactly what we need.

I am very happy with tugay pal I think its a quality signing, I was explaining why those further up the thread may not have thought his goals to games were good enough and feeling underwhelmed

  • So we get an experienced Championship English winger/striker, who is up for a battle, unless im mistaken, not signing this sort of player is what has been getting our new owner a lot of unfair stick?

Some of our fans will never be happy IMO
  • One thing I don't get is the desire for young Prem players, we need some experience and quality at this level. Youngsters flourish with quality around them.

Yes, I wonder if it will be suggested that RD brought this guy in too.

Tudgay seems to be one of those players everyone's heard of but know little about.

We're not going to get a proven 20 goal striker on loan. All loans are a gamble in some form. It's either someone like Tudgay, experienced but not playing games, or a young Prem striker.

Perhaps bring in a pacey/skilful young winger, but I don't think we need another inexperienced player up front. Pleased to see we're bringing in a player that knows this league.
  • Wasn't Forest one of the clubs in for Church? Maybe we've done a swap. Not too excited about this possible signing but I wasn't when Yann signed so I'll wait and see how he gets on.
  • I don't care who we get as long as it is not a goal every 4 games striker like Tugay

Yes I do agree with this - it's experience or raw talent at this stage of the season up for grabs. Neither will have a track record. And for every Jermaine Defoe who'll come in and show his desire, you get a Frimpong who can't be bothered.

We're better off with Tudgay IMO.

Of course not VG they're all too busy being underwhelmed.

He may also play the piano but we need GOALS and lots of them

Why's that then, as long as we achieve enough 1-0 victories to finish fourth from bottom will do for me.

So if he plays out wide and provides goals will you still be chimpin up?

I'm about ten miles away. What should I do when I get there? The ice cream van would have gone this time of night.
