Just read the Mirror passage,it says we are competing with Brighton and Ipswich. The article also uses the Pulis quote from a couple of weeks ago that he hoped Williams would be loaned to manager of his acquaintance.
If Brighton and Ipswich are in for Williams no chance. Hope I'm wrong and and also that Muzza's statement on signings was more in expectation than hope.
To try and be slightly positive, he might choose us over them purely for location reasons.
I am expecting "nuffink", I am not buying into this "we just missed out on him" etc. I cannot see RD wanting to spend anymore and I am not quite sure what RM has promised but when the window closes and we have not added I will not be surprised.

If Pulis wants him to go to a manager he knows and trusts, it must put Millwall right up there.

Seems this loan window is going the same way as the transfer window...we desperately need strengthening, but end up losing players instead...
I'm concerned that Katrien and Roland might be finding the English transfer market a tad more difficult than they imagined. Roland's overt anti-agent stance won't help matters, either.
What does anyone see in him ?? the only thing with the likes of Forest & Derby is that they have other strikers who can score, so it doesn't matter much to them if he just runs around causing a nuisance. We haven't got that luxury and need forwards who can find the back of the net REGULARLY.
on a slightly different note, but still on the theme of loan signings, I cant believe some of the loans signings other clubs manage to acquire. Watching the Everton v Swansea FA Cup match both Ross Barkley of Everton & Kyle Bartley of Swansea (whoi both had excellent games) have had stints in the Championship over the past year and then there is Joss Mccrechan (sp) out on loan & Sheff Wed have just signed a Villa player and now looking at Leon Best as well.
these aren't exceptions, I'm sure if you look down the list of Championship teams you'll find most have at least 1 player from a Premiership club. The only decent loan signing from a higher division club that I can recall us signing is Alex Song (don't mention Frimpong.......) and over the last few years we have had countless of has beens and never will be's (Seabiscuit & Lee Cook are just 2 that spring to mind)
So, please bear with me if I don't get too excited if we sign a 35 yr old journeyman from QPR or a 18 yr old from Outer Mongolia..................

Chalobah at Forest earlier this year is another example.

yes, because RM would never tell an eager bunch of fans what they wanted to hear...........
