Duckett drops a sitter0

What a grab!1

Jacks takes a brilliant one-handed catch off Carse to get Smith
0 -
Will Jacks worth the selection alone on that beauty.1

That Duckett drop is fine now, I’d rather have two new batters at the crease2

YESSSS JACKSS CATCH BOYO1
-
Bashir would have got both hands to it

Incredible catch0
-
Tbf would rather we got smith out than Carey out first ball. Two new bats at the crease, come on England! Great character from carse to come back after being spanked and pick up two key wickets2

Pressure on now - come on boys!!0

Carey is a classy bat who should have gone already, an in-form Inglis can be dangerous, Neser with 5 tons and 18 FC 50s can bat and Starc can thrash a few so this is by no means over.0

AA sadly I believe Spencer is out long term again with another back injury.Addick Addict said:
I appreciate that. My comments were too because it was amusing to think that people actually thought the Aussies were just going to roll over.fenaddick said:
I know, I was making a jokeAddick Addict said:
But Cummins and Lyon, in particular wanting to prove a point, will be back.fenaddick said:Well at least Hazelwood is out of Brisbane
Much of the pre-Ashes talk was about the Aussies being too old and their batting order being in total disarray swiftly followed by how they are going to miss Cummins and Hazelwood. We've successfully managed in solving all those issues for them.
As I've said we might have a decent chance in the next home Ashes but only if we give our young players to improve and not constantly wrap them up in cotton wool. Spencer Johnson, one of the fastest bowlers in the world, was playing club cricket last weekend. Labuschagne hit five centuries in the Sheffield Shield to force his way back into the team whereas Bethell played just two CC matches all last season. Bashir can't get a game or contract anywhere because he's not, despite all the guff that is coming out of the England camp, improving.1 -
Channel 7 seems to think a pat cummins interview is more interesting than the game….0
-
Another point been made on comms is that all 3 of our quicks that aren't Stokes naturally bring the ball back in to right handers. What you need with the pibk ball under lights is the ability to take it away. That's where starc got his wickets yesterday. We need a different option in the ranks.0

Duckett drops again0

The commentator shouting "catch it" even before the ball has hit the bat is a farce!2

Duckett drops the Ashes again

And hearing the stumps clatter and someone say "bowled him" before the ball left Stokes handAddick Addict said:The commentator shouting "catch it" even before the ball has hit the bat is a farce!1 -
Stokes bowls Inglis
329-6 and we still lead by 5 runs. That goes to prove how important our 10th wicket stand was.1 -
What we're learning is Duckett needs to drop the ball more so we can get a wicket soon after4
-
Stokes!!! love it!0

Duckett having an awful session in the field. Fielding under the lights to a pink ball is also a challenge.
Thankfully both drops were followed almost immediately by wickets.0 -
Crucial!0
